The puffco plus is definitely one I considered (and one I can purchase in a local brick & mortar store where I live, so that's a plus), but I kept seeing to many negatives and bad experiences with it, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger on one.

Also, the idea that nothing changes with a really slow or really fast draw speed. That doesn't make any sense to me. If all other things are correct, then there is no way that a drastic change in draw speed wouldn't change the vapor that you are getting. That's why my brain leans toward an air...

I'm very tempted to order a DC V5, as that cup with the sides heated is very attractive. Does anyone think I'll be fine pairing it with the Eleaf Pico 75w or iStick Rim 80w mods that they sell on their site is enough, or would I be better off getting a different mod to power it?

Is it possible that you're not getting a good seal on the connection to the glass piece you're using it with, which is causing too much outside air to leak in? If not, then maybe get a laser thermometer gun ($20 on Amazon), and check the coil to see if it's actually reaching temp.
