I was given a choice to take the Brown Mallee instead as it already has a lower moisture content. They look basically the same, so I opted for the Brown Mallee as it is ready to be turned now.

I believe I have 5......my 6th is waiting to be made. Will be Brown Mallee instead of the Coolibah.

You still use the stock whip but put a short length of larger diameter tubing where the kink occurs to prevent it. Kind of like a doubler. Portability not effected. Hope this makes sense.

Get larger diameter tubing to put on the herbie whip where you have the kinking issue. Should solve it.
