Sorry to say, no, that won't work. Voltages are wrong. Solo needs 12 VDC and you're talking five! It (Solo) won't even try to charge. ArGo or Air would work fine, since they are single cell systems, therefore 3.7 Volts nominal (4.2 max), not 7.4 (8.2 max) like in Solo. Argo has a micro USB...

Beats me, that's not the way it runs (the internal chamber is blown down to make bubbles, raising the level outside). As I suggested, invert it and blow into the bowl and see? I'm with LP it could be too full still. For sure it's not too low...... OF

Mine does just fine, I suspect you're putting in too much water? Try flushing it out from the bottom (which will over fill). Then, over the sink, blow all the water out of the lower trap (what would be lower if it was right end up), leaving only the water in the inverted upper trap that's...

I can assure you that's not how Ohm's Law works. In fact, since though retired my Credential to teach this good stuff is 'Lifetime' if you were in California I could charge you for the education. Believe what you want, but either the manual is wrong or you're misreading it. The routine for...

No, that's not right. It's fine for both. You're mistaken that it's a problem for your e-cig. The charge circuit will 'draw' (use) as much current as it wants and not the rest of the potential (be it 1/2, one, 2.1 or more Amps. I charge from a five Amp source (IPad charges very fast.....)...

Thank you. Given the source, high praise indeed! With or without the pun....... I found getting that bitty cap back on was a big issue with me. I assume others. Holding the loaded body in two trembling fingers and the cap in two others on the other hand means you can't see what you're doing...

Actually we have, several times........ Perhaps you missed it? IMO that's entirely too subjective a question, it depends on cure (water adds weight without changing the important parts), grind, packing and a bunch of other stuff. The best guide is 'it's about half the volume as 'native''...

Yep, 2.5 will do it. Some of the units I tested would limp by at 2.25. The current drops a bit as the heater in Solo get's hotter and it's resistance goes up. If you can get past the first 15 seconds or so the demand drops a bit. Pipes and I used LM350s (Five Amp versions of LM317) and a...

Mine too, but this is mighty subjective territory? While Solo/Air/ArGo is a great platform for many/most folks it's not for everyone of course. Very little in life is. A very strong advantage it has is there's no 'right way' to use it. Individuals get to tailor their technique to suit...

I do regularly. Probably over half the time. I have two 'OG' units in rotation and a back up one stashed away. I too appreciate the advantage and am well pleased Arizer was forward thinking enough to design it in (much simpler, that means cheaper, to go 'use while charging' like everyone...

I have come up with a set of simple tools to load them that seem to be working just fine. The key is to put a handle on the capsule so you can scoop herb into it easily. The latest version is here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/healthy-rips-fury.24408/page-109#post-1281370 The photos can...

Actually it can be "a bad thing". Depending on the questions. Safety concerns are often the source of such problems, which is why there's a specific Forum Policy against it: "If you have a question or comment regarding material safety, post it in General Discussion. Do not post it in a model...

No, I don't think that's accurate. While fast, it still takes longer to get to a solid hit once it reaches temperature. You can load small amounts, like in most other vapes, but like them they suffer in rate of production if you do. Not a bad choice for such duty, but not 'on demand' IMO...

I believe 'you've been misinformed' as the saying goes? Cut one open, see if you can find the glue? Consider that some glue might 'get loose' and end up on the surface or stem..... There are videos on making your own, twist the stick against the cotton and it winds on 'by itself'. There are...
