Don't get me wrong I do like, and i tornado perc thing is cool but if it was 1/2" lower it would be awesome. The right water level and draw and it should be a solid performer, I just wont get to fully test it till the weekend when I get out and make some oil. I love my D020, $30, works well...

My sidecar arrived today. The perc is a little high and the stem is off to the right a fair bit. But hey for $40 it's solid, looks good and works pretty well. Next to D020 for reference. I am still experimenting with different water levels.

I use mine with budder and wand hash all the time so bubble hash shouldn't be a problem. I have a different heater cover but I thought the connection between your HC and wand should be pretty air tight so that might be your problem. Plus my heating element is only a few mm from the top so yours...
