I am not. I'm using nichrome 80 wire. How does that make the resistance reading between my iris and dmm? How do u get the resistance up with non reisitance wire? Edit: I have been pretty rough on my iris so I'm sure it could have something to do with that as well...

Well that's no good. I never saw the lo ohm warning until I started wrapping the kiss myself. I wonder what was different. Maybe our iris reads different. My fluke dmm reads 2.2 ohms on my self wrapped kiss, but the iris says 3.3 when screwed all the way down and 1.8 when unscrewed back slightly...

Before my iris fried my ti kiss cart with a blast of 7.4 instead of the 4.1 it was set too it worked great. That one was a few months old though so something could have changed

Kidneypuncher is a great site. I got 30 guage nichrome and the thinner of the two types of ceramic wick. You will have to cut/break it down to the size of the cup. I put about 6 wraps for 1.8 ohms. I'll use that between 3.7v and 4.6v depending what's inside. They have little positive contact...
