I've heard this but after making some firecrackers with about 5 grams of ABV from a davinci (vaped to 395 F) and barely feeling a thing I think you're probably better off heating it just in case all the THC isn't decarbolyzed yet (or whatever the process is called).

I just got a new extreme q, with warranty, for $160 and I could not be more satisfied. It doesn't fill a bag as fast as the volcano but it's much cheaper and has a whip option (which you will more than likely fall in love with)

Whip vapes hooked up to a water pipe are smoother than bags. A coil attached to a whip would really be all he needed.
