There is more draw resistance then with the hydraline. I have really big hands so it might not be quite as small as you think.

It just seems a little much to me that getting it dirty is cause for warranty replacement. Like I said to fussy for me. I suppose if you are a light user it's cool but I am a heavy user. The solo although not as portable works better for me.

I guess I'm in the minority but after a few weeks with the pax I'm not impressed. It is discreet and you can get some good vapor but it requires way to much attention to keep it operating smooth and having to dump, mix and refill the load takes away the stealth and handiness.

I disagree. This label was clearly visible on the front of my box even to the point where you could see a evolver hydracirc package was inside. Even the serial number of the unit is visible. Not a big deal but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there is something interesting...

A discharge test indicates it has the rated capacity. That goes a long way towards authenticating them. My research indicates Panasonic only sells unprotected cells to licensed pack assemblers who would then add the protection. Don't ask me how dealextreme has them but a lot of shady stuff goes...

They are genuine unprotected panasonic cells. The same that are used in quality laptop battery packs. I've run a discharge test and their stated capacity is accurate. The thermal protection is in place for charging protection and not discharge. The danger is if the cells become unbalanced...

The voltage is the same as the old pack. It just has more capacity. Think of it like a larger fuel tank for your car. It still provides the same gas there is just more of it before you need to refuel.

I'll make 10 more and see if I can help a fellow solo user out. I can already tell its way more powerful then the original ever was. The Panasonic cell is very good.
