It's either coil fail or pcb overheat imo like you said according to codes Remember there were issues with the square and pcb overheating, caused unit to go all over the place with regards to temps......mine was eating coils it was running so hot lol

I know I had a metal pipe with years of resin in it.could barely get a poker thru I t and using a 50/50mix iso/water was clean perfect after three cleans of 6 mins each with heat......I was shocked....

And you tried manual unlock right?

I know when the haze square did a ss bowl it caused conduction like effects.from metal getting hot (possibly wasting product) and flavor went down compared to their.aluminum bowl.....I liked the aluminum bowls better for flavor.......
