I'm not familiar with IH heating so I don't know how it affects the surface temp of the body/stem near the tip. But with a 3 flame torch, it definitely affects it, especially in high ambient temps when you're trying to do a full session. That's why I wanted the titanium stem. That fancy pattern...

Not sure, I always thought there are only 2 styles of titanium bodies/stems, a 1st gen and 2nd gen, the 2nd gen being the one with the fancy cutout pattern. Agreed. I have to be able to 'clear it'. It's much more satisfying for me than the 'set it and forget it' style of the Omni.
