FC. The forum of 10,000 acronyms/ abbreviations?

As a babe in the woods, one of the things that strikes me is the large use of abbreviations in the average discussion on this forum. How did this tradition get started?

What Are YOUR Best/Worst Vape Purchases?

My worst, and it may be me by operator error and not the vape....I'm talking about the MFLB. Let's be honest, as a product, it is widely regarded as one of the better portables and it's reasonably priced from a cost standpoint. On this forum though, I find that I'm not alone in my opinion...

    Vapman

Watched the "Making Of" video. Wow, amazing. Does he do all that work himself or does he have helper elves? I can't imagine assembling those units all day long. Handling those tiny screws alone would be maddening. I have to say that in my lifetime of purchases, the vapes that I've bought are...

need a vape that can emulate the speed and efficiency of a "one hitter" and no MFLB suggestions

Probably too late to do you any good, but I'm quite impressed with the Vapman. It's easy/ quick to hit and stealthy. The fact that you don't have to be drawing through it while applying heat is a major plus in terms of being discrete.....you don't look like you're hitting a crack pipe:) My...

    Mainstream opinion on vaporization

Another thing I found was that it was a little overwhelming too, for the uninitiated. So many choices and so individualized. It's almost as if there are too many choices....but just almost. Those proto's clean really nicely don't they? But you really get a sense of how much junk you're...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

Perhaps. It's still too early to tell. I have to say that the Vapman is easier to clean since all that is involved is dumping it out and maybe giving it a quick brush. I find that the lotus' screen gets packed up pretty quick and makes it more difficult to draw through so it requires a little...

    Mainstream opinion on vaporization

Great thread. In regards to first-timers, my first vaping experience might have been similar to many. It wasn't great and almost made me give up before really even trying. I bought a MFLB because I found combusting really exacerbated my sleep apnea. The purchase was made based on price...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

I have both but have only started using the Vapman. I also don't have a ton of experience with other vapes other than what I have at hand (MFLB, VG, in addition to the VM and LV) I think the VM is going to have a place in collection, but with a few caveats. The loading process is probably the...

The kief was sublime!! I did try a bowl of herb and it, as would be expected, wasn't as robust as the kief, but very, very flavorful. I'd have to say that of my four different portables, this little guy has the best flavor. But I'm sure as my Vap Fu skills improve, flower power will improve as...

    Vapman

Got mine recently. First impression was the same as many others. It was "Holy shit, that thing is tiny!" Up until I tried it an hour or so ago I was realllly concerned about the size of the bowl. I've already decided that this unit wouldn't be up to my needs in terms of vaping flowers. I...

    The aesthetics of lighting up...

I'd second the Lotus for any pyrophobes who want to try fire.. It's almost impossible to ruin a bowl with this unit. I haven't had a ton of experience with electricity so maybe someday I'll be less of a luddite:) The recipe analogy probably isn't the best choice either...but keeping it in...

    The aesthetics of lighting up...

Does anyone else value/ appreciate the non-tangible experience of using fire as their vaping heat source? I personally like the fact that, by using a lighter, there is more variation between bowls and hits with some being better than others, but having those occasional palate cleansers...

Yep, I've never done BHO before, so really don't have a clue if my experience is what should be expected. But, I had numerous tasty vapor clouds and the effect was sudden, pleasant and long lasting. I did a one day abstain so to try it as a base level. Good enough that I retired the Genie to...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

Pulled the plug on a J-hook. So excited. I spent yesterday experimenting. Made butane extract from last crops trim and saved the sprinkles at the bottom of the jar to try in the lotus. Gummed the screen up pretty good but it's taking me forever vaping through the bowl. I'm going to try the...

FWIW.... I dropped a cannibalized filter from one VG into the bowl of another (Classic) and vaped some first attempt at BHO. Both attempts were successful. I did remove the screen and retaining ring from the bowl first and used a torch lighter to do the vaping.

Looking at my ABV's through a 40X loupe....

Sorry moderator. I figured this post was in the wrong place, but couldn't delete because it had a reply. Anyway, back on topic. Yeah, try doing it some time. Look at your middens under a scope or loupe. I'll admit that my herb is on the fluffy side, but I stir it regularly in the bowl and...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

Thanks all the same. I have to say one of the things I don't care for with the standard Lotus is the really small bore diameter of the stem. I realize this is probably done intentionally to control the heat and airflow to an optimal level, but I wonder if the J hook changes all that (assuming...
