I've tried tossing the Herc in the freezer, I've tried using the AAF to block the air ports, but neither prevents leaks if I forget the discipline of cooling down the Herc the old fashioned way. In my experience, there is no substitute for cool down puffs.

Warm everclear will cool quickly in contact with thick cold glass. I would use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up your piece, if I didn't just torch it first. Me, I leave my piece in the sun, and the reclaim pools to the bottom for me to scoop out with a dab tool.

I'll load less going forward... can someone post a picture as a guide for me? I get the thickest clouds when I don't see any oil laying on top of the coils.

@bubbha ho-tep that is how I hit the KISS cart. I don't burn concentrate layed on top of the coil. I prime the wick with melted concentrate, just like you, and vape off the oil in the wick. Nice tasty hits of vapor without smoke!
