I have to admit that wood face plate looks pretty cool. Would thumb screws make the faceplate interchangable? How is performance? Do you think you can get production units any smaller?

If kanthal does not work in TC, and you dont have a good reason for using it - i would not use it! Other 510 attys dont need custom firmware to use TC. All the smoant, dna, joytech, wismec mods will work with stempod & splinter out of the box. Temp reading may not be exact, but will be consistant.

Some progress. You have to turn the mod really tight to make it straight. I would make it loser next time (if there is a next time). Also the base is quite a bit wider than the mod. I will sand it down as much as i can. However i think the idea is still workable. Any of the skilled wood...

Eds Tnt splinter stem. Thid is how i have it setup atm. Not sure about whips, but glass balls make a big difference!
