So that's four now. It's probably safe to say that the RX300 is a no-go. At least if you plan on running the FJ firmware on it (not sure if anyone has tested it with stock firmware or AF), which I assume is the main reason most of the people looking at this thread would consider buying it.

Well, I think I can definitely confirm that it's not just an issue of the firmware misreading the battery. I last used the RX300 with the Splinter Z Monday night. The batteries sat in the mod while it was off all of Tuesday. Upon trying to turn it back on today, it looks like the cell in bay 3...

I don't have much in the way of testing equipment but I did try swapping the battery positions around and it seems to be bay 3 that drains faster no matter which cell is in it. All four batteries are LG HG2s that were purchased together a week ago and only used in this mod.

On the screen, though it seems to be bay three that consistently drains quickly and it still tests low after being changed to a different bay. It does also show as lower than the others on the external charger. I'd be curious to know the actual cause but I guess ultimately the mod is a bust...

Looks like my mod box and 18650s are out for delivery right now. My Splinter Z arrived on Monday and has just been silently mocking me since. It's been torture. I think I'll have to put it through its paces this weekend to make up for the last few days.

Ah well, I ended up ordering yesterday. I guess we'll see how it works out, the thing was only ~$22 if it ends up being junk.

Just purchased a 2-hole bubinga Z. Would the Wismec Reuleaux RX300 be a decent choice to pair it with for somebody who has 0 mod experience looking for temp control, maybe with the FJ firmware? I get that it'll be a bit chunky but I don't mind that and quad batteries seem nice for battery life.
