Thanks, I do have a lot of places. I am not really THAT far north.. I am in the US north of Detroit. South of Detroit is Windsor Canada. If I run south to the border I am in Canada. In case you thought I was in Canada or Alaska or something. :)

Looks like project is delayed, the wood is REALLY dry and most of it cracked. Good for the fire-pit, but bad to make a new housing with. :( Maybe I will check the hardware store see if I can find something there not treated.

Thanks man!! I have a fairly new (2nd) power supply and I am pretty sure the resister is fine, no broken wires or anything. Would Cedar be bad? I have a bunch of that and don't burn it too often, not sure if it would give it flavor or if the resin is bad for lungs.

Figured, oh well... Mines pretty much on its last leg (or retaining ring). I wish someone would at least make some wood blanks for rebuilds. Didn't they end up outsourcing the wood part towards the end?? If so can you ask then if they can say who from, maybe I can order the wood part from them...

For newer ones, what one is closest to the PD I added a lot of rings and need to replace soon. By close I mean that the PD stems work with. Tried to order a rockzap the week they closed. Or is there a way to make a new wood part for it? I do know someone with a wood lathe.
