I tried this and it doesn't work well at all. If you have a set of vernier calipers measure the diameter of the captive cap and compare to a standard - all 3 of my captive caps have a larger diameter but this maybe because all of my standard caps are 3years old and far better quality compered to...

I'm more worried that the standard cap is going to be discontinued - the new Omni ships with the captive cap which I loathe.

This issue hasn't made its way to the UK at the moment but I think I might bulk buy some standard caps just to be on the safe side.

I'm wondering why the decision was made to design the new Ti tip to look like 2 bowls (1 regular and 1 2020m) stacked on top of each other. Very ugly designer. There are only 2 o-rings shown as well so I think the stems may be slightly different at the tip end as you can see in the attached...

Looks like there is a lot more mass to the new Ti tip. The extra mass in the 2020M made it considerably inferior to the 2019M tip - I hope this isn't the case with the new Ti tip. I'm gonna let some of you beta test the new Omni before I make my decision - I'm guessing there may be a price hike too.

Ti tip set to 50% in 1 heat cycle. Ti tip set to 75% in 2 heat cycles. Ti tip full bowl in 2-3 heat cycles. Be aware I don't over pack my bowls or tamp them down to allow air to move freely. If you pack your bowls tightly then add an extra heat cycle for each bowl setting.

@Mowjo - I used the Orion maybe 10 times before I went straight back to my @Pipes Portside Mini so I can't tell you how many bowls you would get on a full charge. I just don't like the unit and am gifting it to a friend who is trying to fuckconbustion.

I don't think that is the issue. The vapcap was designed to be used with a torch, and the slower, rotational method of heating with a torch allows the heat to permeate through the bud more than an IH, giving in my experience bigger clouds and quicker (less heat cycles) extraction. My most...

Except that unlike using a torch you have to stir the bud as IH's tend to only heat the bud touching the bowl, leaving the bud in the middle or towards the bottom green. The torch takes longer to heat up with but gives full extraction quicker than any IH that I own - PSM, Couldren, Orion and...

If you are referring to the side pod flap it is made of the same metal as the body and is hinged via the securing bolt that passes through it. And here are the internals - And the two glass tubes supplied - And next to a Portside Mini -

That my friend is the exact same unit. I prefer the plain unmarked black casing on the UK version. Only downside is the batteries are not 18650's and are not easily replaced - they are 3 x 1000mh cells soldered directly to the board - I will put up a picture of the inner workings after I finish...

The unit works well and I like the fact the manufacturer provides additional parts allowing for user modification. The glass tube surrounded by the heating coil can be changed to offer different heating profiles. Out of the box it is set up for microdosing as there is a glass spacer inside the...

Mine is usually a golden colour and never black (combustion?). Vaped using hemp fibre but tastes bad. Drop the condenser in a pan of milk and drink for the best night's sleep you will ever have!

FYI the captive cap has much more open airflow compared to the standard cap as it doesn't require pinching to make an interference fit on the tip. I'm in the opposite camp - I hate the later airy tip (2020M and Ti) and captive cap - I prefer a tight draw. I think Dynavap should offer a choice...
