Testing software is not the same as hardware much less manufacturing runs. Most often early manufacturing is small run, this is what is being evaluated and tested. It's approved and large runs are done, and things turn up. Not a fair comparison imo.

I'll always reach for the ball filled stem first, it's a little more work to keep clean, but it allows me to use higher temps without issue if I choose. Hmmm, that sounds like the tasty hits to me!

Not sure where you're at, but online there are many people/sites that offer to print from file for a cost. The file(s) are free, the printing has a cost. I've never used them and can't say how they work with price or adapting settings from other printers. But it's an option! Not sure I feel I...
