Where is the reference to 2021 from Brent, in your citation? Speculation on your part, maybe?

Did you buy your m22? If so, you're a preorder customer and will get your upgrade parts with all the other preorders. I got mine early as an 'official' tester. As for 'vapor standards', it's a matter of prefs I suppose. My experience thus far is that the ESCC greatly outperforms all the buckets...

Actually, when the first shipment from China failed to equal the quality of the engineering samlles they originally sent, Brent wasn't going to offer them. Folks on reddit requested they be offered, so he did. With disclaimers regarding the effectively beta status. So the oreorder availability...

If you read the posts by Brent on reddit (or possibly the m22 info page on their website. I forget if it's there) you'll see that the stated plan is to ship updated coil cup, updated escc cup, updated escc, updated o-rings, updated torx driver to ALL preorder customers when all the bits are...

Not really, imo. The ESCC is a different animal than anything ever discussed for the m15. And the promises I refer to are those made for the m22, not its predecessor. All the promises made about the atty under discussion in this thread have been fulfilled so far. I have Sai/Sequoia buckets and...

They've been exceptionally transparent about what's going on and thd manufacturing difficulties they've been facing. Those who bought the original and are complaining apparently didn't read the info posted on the AVS product page completely, before ordering. Or subsequent updates. I certainly...

If you're wanting accurate tc with the buckets, no mod will give you that. Real, accurate tc isn't actually possible with remotely heated buckets. This can be verified with a thermocouple. So, any stick mod with tcr setting ability should work about as well as any other.

The price actually compares favorably to DNA mods - and is designed with concentrate use as a design criteria. In addition, it's the only mod capable of correct tc with SiC. Tcr is, and always has been, a second-rate version of tc, compared to a fully mapped tfr (which the AVS SiC tc mode is)...

Well, you'd use it in a manner similar to any other bucket type. The AVS recommended settings listed in the online manual work quite well, ime. Assuming, of course, you have a working ESCC/clip combination. Wattage mode only, for now... I plan on mapping a tcr value for tc operation with mods...

Yeah, the factory that was contracted to do the ESCC and clips kind of screwed AVS by delivering production parts that are of considerably lower quality and slightly different dimensions than the engineering samples. My original evaluation unit ESCC worked great - by far the best bucket I've...

Looks like the full pre-release package. With a little luck, you've got an unbroken ESCC installed, under the cap.

If you order the existing pre-release version, you'll be sent the new uodated parts as well, once they're ready. New ESCC, clips, o-rings, and ceramic cup for the coils. Possibly more... For free. That makes ordering the pre-release version the most economical route, as the final is expected to...

New pix and info about the new clips on the AVS subreddit, this morning. Looks very much improved, to me.

DNAc Mods & Evolv & Escribe software help.

Not that I've ever been able to set up. I'd like to see 30 seconds for a max time. Cruise would be good for herb vapes. Given the seemingly hostile attitude (my own impression only) Evolv has towards cannabis related use, I don't expect to see those things anytime soon.

Interesting. The problem I'd anticipate with using the semiconductor properties of SiC as a diode and then using the forward voltage drop change as a temp sensor is that SiC diodes are only good to somewhat under 200°c. And resulting clamp voltage would make any mode, power or tc, a problem for...

I can only say that the standard approach used in all mods to date monitors coil resistance only. It calculates what the heater resistance will be at the temperature set on the mod and tries to hit and maintain that resistance. With semiconductor materials, resistance doesn't change in the same...

Since we're sharing some info...:) I can confirm he legs are indeed gold plated and the mod has a cool easter egg. I can tell you the mod itself was designed in-house from scratch (right down to the selection of individual components on the circuit board). I can also say the tc requirements of...

    Saionara Atomizer thread

Actually, I specifically said bare donut. Not bucket. Accurate tc happens for them in the tcr range stated. Tcr315 is the generally accepted compromise value for buckets. My thermocouple tests helped drive u/daltesean to arrive at tcr315, over on reddit. It is not accurate, however. You don't...

    Saionara Atomizer thread

With bare Sai donut coils, tcr between 225 and 240 (there's some variation between individual samples) gives accurate tc according to thermocouple tests I did a couple years back. Those tcr values are effectively unusable irl. Because the bucket leaks a lot heat to the atty body, it takes long...
