The Pax doesn't fit in the container lengthwise. If you want to make a Pax case out of the container, you have to use two of them. I just use two caps from the Mentos, that seems to contain the smell for me. Here's my original post about the caps...

Flashing red light while trying to heat usually means dead battery. If you charged it, I'm not sure what the problem would be. But I would put it on the charger until it glows green, then try again to be sure.
