Dumb question... how normal is for my induction heater to get very warm (bordering hot) after several cycles of ~10 seconds? I tried with a 12v 30amp power supply and a 12v 3amp as well.

Correct, that's how it works. I know some people don't like putting it apart, but that's the only way to make it fit.

This is awesome! some questions... how do you heat it? (how you spin it?) what is the material for the vapcap adapter, and did you made it? This would be perfect for an induction heater.

Has anyone used an xbox 360 power supply for their induction heater? It seems to provide 12v, and 14~16 amps based on version, they are pretty reliable and safety tested. And these days you can buy the whole xbox for about ~$30, so there might be some cheap supplies around...

I have a butane insert for the zippo, so it makes it much better. What other "common" lighter would fit in the altoids tin? I am still learning to properly model, and how to adapt the models to the constraints of a 3D printer. Once I feel a bit more confident about the model I can share more...
