My fave are the stock tubes I received with my Elite. Also use a glass XL8R from RBT. It does a great job cooling the vapor, but it's large size makes it awkward to use on the Elite and Timber.

I too find the Timber runs hotter than the Elite. I do use the Elite Cool material file for my Elite. I tried it on the Timber, but it did not work as well. But I was able to change the TCR on the Elite Hot file for the Timber to get it closer to the Elite performance. Still need some tweaking...

No, not necessary. The Z works perfectly fine without the XL8R. However, the XL8R does a damn good job cooling the vapor. It makes a kick ass vape even better.
