yes, this is what i have found … my battery cells can put out 70 amps, most wall socket power supplies only do a few amps. however, although the BT gets to 400°F in 10 seconds, it still needs another 100 seconds of heat soak for good vapor output.

what is the RdsON (resistance) at your MOSFET gate voltage? My MOSFET got blazing hot because i had the red LED tied to the Gate and that kept the gate voltage at about 2.5v - way too low to reach the 1.5 mOhm RdsON at a more proper 5v gate voltage ... i'm using the FDB8832 N-channel Fairchild...
