I think you're off on this one from my experience and use of the materials Zirconia takes a bit longer to heat for sure but it holds the heat for a long time, if it needs to It's also totally unsurpassed for flavor IMO

Depending on what digital timer you use you may or may not need a button to turn the unit on, in the 1st unit I posted that one needs a button to give a 12v trigger in order to start the timer, on the 2nd one the red unit I posted has the better digital timer board and has a start/stop button...
