Naturally Decarbed Concentrates - Best Yet

yeah, and I hadn't read the KX thread before I replied here. I don't recall how long it takes to absorb the moisture, but it's fast enough that in the lab, by the time it was used, it wasn't 100% anymore, but was 97%-95%. Even if it were 99% in the "bottle" it won't be after you pour it into the...

Naturally Decarbed Concentrates - Best Yet

And as long as we're talking chemistry, you can't really have 100% ethanol. It likes water so much that as soon as it's exposed to air, it sucks out a little of the moisture, and becomes, ta-da, 95%-97% ethanol. The only way to get the 3% to 5% water out is to replace it with something the...

My secret to THC E-Cig PG-Liquid... Potent, Effective, Cheap, Easy!!!

Unless I'm mistaken, the top of the glass tank is threaded and the top piece screws into it. The bottom is indeed sealed at the bottom with a seal of some sort. I wasn't so much worrying about leaking out the top of the tank as I was that the threaded glass would be substantially weaker than I...

My secret to THC E-Cig PG-Liquid... Potent, Effective, Cheap, Easy!!!

I've been debating buying one of these, but along with all the good stuff, there are some negatives for me. (1) Even though it's a "mini", the Nautilus Mini is significantly fatter than the mPT3 and the mini AeroTank. This makes for a pretty suspicious/noticeable/ugly rig when used with an eGo...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

And there's a "type 4" announced as well, which uses solid ceramic wicks rather than the standard wick material. As far as I can tell, they haven't been shipped to dealers yet. There are also new lower resistance coils (in the "type 3" construction) shipping. As I recall, in addition to the...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

I haven't been able to find the Kanger ceramic based attys yet either. Only place I saw them was on the mfg's site in Chinese. Hopefully in another few weeks they'll start to show up for sale. (And if anyone sees them for sale, please chime in!) On a related note, I've gone back to using the...

    Advanced E-cig users and oil/wax, how-to "one-hitter-quitter"

I wonder what it would be like if you had a coil wrapped around the wick as well as the one inside the wick. Maybe using the thinner wick. If you used the same gauge wire, the outer wick would be longer, and hence more resistance, so it would heat slower and not as much, but you could compensate...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

You know, I prefer my mPT3's to my mAT due to the extremely loose and less than useful airflow ring on my mAT, and I currently run a "hybrid", with all the parts from the mAT except the base, which is from one of my mPT3's. Next time my "hybrid", is empty, I think I'm gonna just turn put...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

I (now) keep it up side down when it's warm out side and sitting in my pocket. When I'm home, and it's sitting in a holder on my desk, it's right side up.

Never burped my mPT3 or mAT. Only time I open them is to add more Pure Gold or replace the atty. I haven't used a Sapphire for a few months, but when I was, I don't think the burping was driven by time. When it started giving me weak hits, and the battery was fine, I burped it. :)

fwiw, not a single Sapphire (BUD) I have, nor either of my two mPT3's or my Mini AeroTank have leaked from anywhere except the hole in the bottom of the positive connection. And I completely agree with @fernand that this is due to temperature and pressure changes. His solution appears to work...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

Never tried the plus; after your description, it's not likely I will. My mPT3/AeroTankMini (type 2 atty) leaked again a little :( Carrying it upside down in the summer is what I'm going to try next. (Thanks @fernand) Kanger just showed yet another atty for the current generation of their...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

Notice where I said: "Here's a link to order some (I haven't)" I see no need either, but remember these same attys fit in the AeroTank Mega (and a lot of Kanger tanks), and I can absolutely see some of the e-cig cloud chasers that live in the sub-ohm RDA world loving the ability to sub-ohm on a...

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

There isn't much remaining liquid to speak of; a few drops worth. I "wipe" the exterior down using a wooden toothpick. I take a couple of pliers and separate the inner chimney and use the toothpick to push any oil from the air tube. I then remove the two coils and flavor wick, and remove the oil...

    1.2Ω@4V, that's 13.3 Watts and 3.33 Amps. 1.2Ω@3.7V, that's 11.4 Watts and 3.08 Amps.

Not sure about the inner chimney, but the rest appears to be SS. The genuine replacements I have appear to be identical to the ones that come with the ATm.

Gear Best Clearo for Pure Gold?

Another quick update; I hate the AeroTank Mini air control system. I switched from the mPT3 clearo to the ATm yesterday, and I really don't like the airflow control ring system. First, the ring is way way way too loose, making it almost impossible to avoid rotating it accidentally. I had to...

    Advanced E-cig users and oil/wax, how-to "one-hitter-quitter"

I didn't quote all the pictures because they're two messages above this, but I'm very interested from what I see :) I don't think I'd like magnetic connection between the top and bottom; I think I'd wind up separating the two halves more than I wanted, but who knows. I also couldn't figure out...

    Advanced E-cig users and oil/wax, how-to "one-hitter-quitter"

Sounds very interesting! Do you happen to know what resistance ceramic donut heater he chose to use? The original ones were very low resistance (0.3Ω-0.5Ω as I vaguely recall).

I keep my rig vertical, though it may lean as much as 30° off vertical in my pocket. The battery is always attached. The amount of leakage is a very small drop worth, maybe about the size of a pin head. What I do is scrape it off the positive terminal of the battery with a toothpick and transfer...
