Even just above level 5 it sounds like his device is running way to hot if hot spotting is occurring. I have to crank my temperature to start getting dark spots and I have a pretty quick inhale. I'm typically starting at 3.5-4 and finishing at 6-7. My AVB does not come out dark by any means.

My other ball vapes include a diy Glass Symphony (4mm boro), B-1 (3mm ruby), B-2 (4mm ruby), Elev8r (3mm ruby) and Heady Atlas (3mm ruby iirc). They all function extremely similar. Once I added balls to the devices that did not come with them, the differences between become very small. There are...

Collyland Aromatizer (formerly Vapbong by Art of Vapor)

I was going to say kanthal as well. There was a heater change semi-recently but I can't remember what actually changed. The change was made to keep the heating element centered in the ball iirc.

I like to think the temp control on the SSV is as manual as it gets. If I need to back off I just hold my wand a little loose so extra air can get in, or take shorter puffs. Metal is nice a durable for sure but I really prefer glass. The flavor is always tainted with metal imo, and I like the...

    The Lotus Vaporizer

I like the change to olivewood. There will be some absolutely beautiful Lotus' coming. Will the Vaporscope see a return? It's always in my rotation and cools extremely well.

I think it's safe to assume there's not Vapbongs hitting over 1300°C right? That begs the question of what were the melted screens made out of?

    Keck Clips

I like the flat metal clips. They're very affordable on Aliexpress and they secure extremely well.

I swapped out my 3mm boro with 3mm ruby. I had been reading back through the thread and came across a post from Elev8r that had recommended against the use of boro, because of the possibility of the glass fusing to the heater. On my SSV, with the heater never exceeding "noon", I have had no...

    TinyMight / TM 2

Could someone take the TM1 cover, grind off the inside raised ring and use that on a TM2? If @TeaCup wants to retain the minimalist look it's a step in the right direction. The stir tool would still be there. I like that TM offers an upgrade path. I enjoy both devices but I really only use the...

    Silver Surfer Vaporizer

I have 3mm borosilicate balls and they work well, so I imagine ruby would be a step up. I had 4mm boro previously and going to 3mm boro was a noticeable jump in performance. I still have some 3mm ruby left over from a CH order that I'll have to try. I might not have quite enough so we'll see. I...

    Silver Surfer Vaporizer

I hadn't pulled out my balled up SSV in a long while so I just cleaned it up and had a nice Sunday, migraine relief session. I really love this vape. It's a beauty. Tastes phenomenal. Smooth as fuck through a bubbler. Did I mention how good it looks . I had just finished a Hybrid session...

They are not interchangeable, the depth of the button is what causes issues iirc.

    EVOLV Cricket

I was thinking about the cap yesterday and how it can come off in a pocket. My easy fix is one of my wife's hair elastics. A fancier, more customizable fix would be a ring (I had wood in mind) that slips over the top I'd want to line it with felt or something so it didn't scratch the case. I do...

    Puffco proxy vs. evolv cricket

Yesterday was my first day with the Cricket. Started this morning at 4:20am with little Jiminy. I'll be able to provide you with a better answer as the days go on, but so far my takeaway is this. The Cricket screams quality. Temperature control is spot on. It's tiny and is barely noticeable in...

Thoughts on water bong vs dry bong vs stems/stems with cooling beads?

No other reason needed. I prefer dry vigreux (spikes also good) stems for the best balance (imo) of cooling and flavor. Balls, beads, or lengthening the airpath (bong) are also effective but there's more cleaning and some loss of flavor (related to length). Sometimes I just want to milk up...

    Puffco Proxy

They are not making international buyers ship them back as far as I'm aware. If they didn't ask for a receipt yet that's probably a good sign.

    Puffco Proxy

No receipt I imagine? Warranty is not transferable if resold from their site. If it was a gift though, maybe.
