Right now it's on Ni TC 33w, 440f on my innokin proton.

Finding that the unit does need to be pulsed. With the right timing and draw you can get really good consistency throughout. Still needs 10-15 sec pre heat. Basically a better vape experience than any other handheld I've ever had, but the sai taf a very close second. Difference is that you have...

Tried it on a couple of other mods too. The two problems for me are the need for a 5 second pre heat, no instant vape and the fact that the heat really builds over a sesh so it doesn't vape at a precise point. I do love the initial flavour for the first 2-3 though. I guess this is the issue...

I have recently treated myself to one of these. My daily driver is a sai taf with the ti bucket, so stiff competition. I have always preferred the ti over the quartz bucket on the sai for ease of use. Found the quartz a lot less forgiving/easy to use on the sai so gave up using it. So far the...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

I do indeed use a silicone spatula. There is little to none on the plate and just a bit on the facing edges that is easily scraped onto the mat with a spatula. It just doesn't seem to hang around on the plates as much as parchment.

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Have done a bubble hash press from fresh frozen. Yield was predictably superb, and quality excellent. I did press it a bit wet to be honest and so ended up a bit sappier than I would like. Pressed paperless. Also have run a few with flower using the 2x4 and 30mm cylinder press. Devil Cookies...

I'll see how my funds are!! I've got a 2x3ish rectangle pre press which is ok. The little cylinder one is just too small for me. Would prefer the larger cylinder for driptech I have to admit.

Just finished watching the vid, my cylinder mould that came with it is smaller. Too small to be useful for me. Yours looks much better. Think I'll give a paperless press a go!!

It's often pinene I think. I know what you mean. I've had some rosin that I've actually found improved by warming for 10 mins. You can always remove terps if it's too much but less convenient to put them back! I do have a load of terps from THCA isolation on my press I've used for stuff with...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

It doesn't. The driptech style of pressing does. The question of parchment is just whether it's necessary when using driptech.

Great stuff psychonaut, thanks! Ive done a few more since and can confirm my previous finding of improved quality and yield. I'll try a cylinder vs rectangle press. Maybe 3 cylinders in a single press... Think paperless may be the way to go.

I agree in principle, and am a relatively recent bagless convert. I find that if you press progressively the pancaking does not happen and in fact my pucks now come out only fractionally bigger than the pre press, and are actually often smaller than when I used bags, I don't get blowouts or...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Never use stainless and generally press flower bagless. I don't get contaminants at all, and I don't think you should if you are pressing progressively and carefully. I don't like the waste with nylon bags, or the expense. Hash obviously have to but don't like throwing loads of stinky nylon bags...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Baron 23 - My pre press is like that too. Its not a big deal but it does just niggle me. I've even debated adding a cut out wooden riser. And in answer to the above - no matter what there is slop in cheap presses, so without cages you will get some alignment issues. It isn't a big deal but can...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

No problem. I'll follow up with a decent video once I have my work area clear again. I did think about a bare plates run, but I'm so not keen on the clean up. I'll have to do it at least once. Maybe I'll see how yours pans out first!! I don't mind going for parchment again as so little is left...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Overall extremely impressed with this bit of kit - and coming from a 6 ton with cheap dhgate plates that I LOVED, this feels like a great upgrade for the money. Highly recommended. Also worth mentioning that the puck was significantly dryer and less sticky than with my regular press, so I can...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

This was a test press at high temp and pressure with some very old (2 years) dry seeded critical kush bud. Not meant as a showy press, but to trial the driptech with a PTFE envelope. More info on the uk420 site but here's a quick vid as I know some wanted to see the drip. I will be doing a...

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Ah yes - obvious now I actually use my eyes - I can see the chunky grub screws. The ones on the side remain a mystery though! It looks functional - they thread through a nicely machined slot either side of the heat plate.

    Dabpress Rosin Plates

Quick question for the dabpress crew. What are the threaded holes on the rear of the heat plates and also the sides of the bottom mounting plate for?
