    Dynavap VapCap

Can't really comment on the FMJ or armored cap--the latter is so new, and I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure folks will share their experiences in this thread. I don't think there are any big differences between the M model years. People used to swear by the 2019, but a buddy has one and I...

    Dynavap VapCap

I’m not sure what you mean by “hit like a ball vape.” Can you clarify? A dyna will never have the open airflow that a ball vape has for example. But if you just mean you want it to smack with a small amount of herb then yeah, a dyna works a treat. Just get an M in my opinion. The Omni, simrell...

    The WOODEN Vaporizer Thread

Noted! Was that also the source of the wooden mp tips? They look a lot like the old Mistvape Imp tips.

    The WOODEN Vaporizer Thread

I also dig your repurposed dnd case @fangorn! Where’d you get that stem holder for the toad? I have something like that for my tp80, I’d love one for the toad!

    Dynavap VapCap

I’m confused by some of these comments. Can someone clarify if the armored cap is a full stainless steel cap, or just sort of a “sheath” that a regular cap fits into? Probably too early for comparisons to the fmj, but if anyone has both I’d be curious on that too. I don’t have dexterity...

How did you get your vape and how do you like it?

Currently my Toad, native with the wooden stem. Hits and tastes a treat! Real stoked to try a FW7 later this week if shipping goes reasonably quick, though!

    Dynavap VapCap

Isn’t there an older limited edition nine fin tip that isn’t connected to simrell? I think it was a bonus that came with past editions of the Omni. That’s what I’ve been referring to as going for a princely sum on the used market. I wasn’t even aware of the simrell 9 fin collab.

    Dynavap VapCap

I think on the used market they go for quite a bit more than this! This makes sense, as the additional fins have been independently verified to increase the number of fins, and bigger numbers are almost always better.

    Dynavap VapCap

I haven’t followed the fc thread, but if you’re referring to the shit show on Reddit I think that was much more to do with vendors, reviewers, and others with obvious conflicts of interest serving serving as mods on the dynavap subreddit rather than the armored cap. Maybe I am also out of the...

    Dynavap VapCap

I was just going to ask about the armored cap. I guess its meant to get closer to what the anvil or FMJ do in terms of making it easier to smash a dynavap in a single/minimal number of hits? Does it still require spinning? I'd love that about the FMJ. I guess it is probably too soon to get...

    The Toad from Morwood

Update: I'll have to see how it goes with more batteries, but in my case it was exactly like @Dan Morrison and @Vaporware suggested: rotating the battery a bit gives me a great fit as opposed to being rather snug. This should work fine for me, and I learned a bit about wood--I thought it was...

DynaVap M worse than Session Vaporizers?

Totally possible you just have a preference for session vapes, but typically it is my understanding that with marijuana you hit the highest point you're going to get very shortly after ingestion (unless we're talking edibles) and it tapers off quickly--so something that can let you clear a large...

    The Toad from Morwood

Yeah, I think the humidity is the cause in my case. Let me give the rotation a go the next time I'm inserting a battery and if that doesn't do it I can see about getting some sandpaper to give the gentle reaming a go!

    The Toad from Morwood

Yeah, I don’t mean to imply these is a universal problem or any kind of show-stopping issue. I still love my toad! I think it’s just the nature of a natural material like wood. I’m just wondering about options to resolve it 🙂

    Firewood Vaporizer

Yeah thanks, I was very happy to find one in such great condition. I remember sharing some pms with you about used options and the ovens looked…pretty terrible, tbh. Not at all what I’d call lightly used. This looks like it was someone’s backup and saw maybe a bowl or two, if that!

    The Toad from Morwood

Question for fellow toad owners/ @Dan Morrison I know wood expands and contracts based on temp, and it seems like I’m going through something like that—my batteries are awfully tough to remove from the toad. Usually a few taps against my palm and they slide out enough to pull them out, now I...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Cool, I picked up a set that also included some beeswax + oil, so I’ll give that a shot and hope for the best!

    Firewood Vaporizer

Hypothetically I found a lnib fw7 + wpa on the used market, pretty excited! Just figuring out how to do payment as it’s international. The seller stated that the fw itself is finished, while the wpa was unfinished. I think that was just mark running oil in them? Just wondering if there is...

    The Toad from Morwood

By “wood oven insert” do you mean the wooden stem? I use mine all the time—I love it aesthetically, for the feel, and because it never needs cleaning. I put some boro beads in it that do, of course, need an iso soak here and there. I don’t bother to stir, either. Partly I do small enough loads...

Early adopters, beta testers, and paid promotion

I think the issue is when folks aren’t up front about it. Everyone that I chat with who frequents fc or any other community for vape enthusiasts is looking for opinions from people who are just also enthusiasts. When we get into this early adopter/“beta tester” (I use the term loosely as I don’t...
