So against my better judgement I gave some more money to SV to try this new "quad coil XL". 27$ shipped for a single coil but I just got back from vacation and wanted some new and fun to play with. Sadly, the coil does not fit the Gen 1 Source Nail, Source Orb XL "Flosstradamus" or the other...

Technically both are Galaxy class Federation ships and so should look almost identical. However, the pics above still look epic so will try not to nit pick too much. :)

Thanks for the link! I had a Pelican case I used to use but it's pretty large (back when we ran the Herc in lightsaber mode with the v2/v3 Persei). Will definitely pick up that little guy. Looks like the perfect size.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Is the Nibbler AC meant fit the AC v3? I'd been using my AC v2 and v3 hooked up to my rig for a while. Finally busted out the Nibbler AC and it doesn't fit tight. Loose and wobbly on the v3, perfect fit on the v2. Any suggestions on some new o-rings I could try?

Actually if you read closely the airflow redesign affects the coil housing so I doubt this has anything to do with the mouthpiece. Could be a change to the airholes in the ceramic cup (this is the cause of most leaking complaints I hear) or the airflow delivery from the base itself. Can't wait...

Any changes to the coils for the v3 outside of the shells? Meaning will v3 coils work with the AC v1 and/or v2 and vice versa?

G is obviously a huge Star Trek fan. "Warp 9 tech" "Utopia Planitia" The Odyssey is the "USS Odyssey" from DS9. Its destruction was a pretty major moment in the Dominion cold war. For us Star Trek nerds, G is doing God's work right now :p
