Plus the fact it's pretty much a one man show, can't be easy!

I did exactly the same, know damn well I'll be using the wood stems whether black/rosewood or Ti/Ebony, but just really wanted that black shiny shiny anyway

I've got the rosewood with basic Ti, was planning to get the black with ebony but getting the full black Ti, pretty much because it looks so awesome 😎 wood stems are only £30 if you want both options, I still might get an ebony stem as well. Think they are the same internally but the wood...

@Brenyo thank you, I'm assuming the 12mm will be the way to go for the tempest?

Speaking of which, @Brenyo will glass sleeves be available at launch, I don't see them on the accessories pages? Can't believe how excited I am to get another one lol excited for the new upgrade parts but also to try different balls, pretty sure I have the 2.5mm Boro so keen to see how the 3mm...

    Thermal Accumulator by phattpiggie

Sharing my new TA3, along with a stem and Wpa from Dovetail Woodworks. TA3 - Hugely impressed, love the chunkiness and build quality, performance is really good, still experimenting but it is very forgiving even without indicators, although did manage to combust for the first time ever through...

Battery Free Ganz - The Flare Induction heater

Some collection of vapes and some big session testing them all, what state were you in by the end?! thank you!

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Awesome that's a promising sign, hopefully we get the nod for pre orders soon! I'm the same, was lucky enough that my VI works perfectly (removed the click discs as just not necessary) so even if the updated parts never showed would not be an issue and the build quality feels like will just...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I use the wand almost all the time, easy and dependable, really thought I would prefer the torch ritual but once you get the wand dialled in with the correct height it's brilliant. Does hammer the batteries but an extra set solves that.

    Thermal Accumulator by phattpiggie

They both look tremendous 🤤I have been eyeing up a DTWW stem and wondered how they performed, did you get your condenser from them as well? (@someTooL same question) they say can add to any order but the individual XL condenser is always out of stock. Ordering a TA3 as well, need to try one of...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I did exactly the same, thought I had been too rough with it but think I had put the coil in the wrong way round, upside down or on the wrong side of the bar, had very limited movement. Tried again and worked as before, full range again, might be worth giving it another go.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie (Pre Release Prototype) Comparisons

That's more than enough for me mate, thank you! Think a TA3 might be worth picking up, the conduction difference sounds fun, plus the improved performance with solids, and this is the first thing to tickle my Vas since getting the Tempest

I've had mine since Nov, no issues with the ball screen, usually has a little bit of give backwards but has never come close to falling out. Cleaned the balls in the head in iso but probably prefer giving them a torch in a metal sieve. Can see the results and frankly just very satisfying...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I've timed my heat up to 3rd notch, my test VI seems to be pretty bang on. These are heating on the centre ring, tempest upright, all single torches, even if your indicators are off should hopefully give you a guide, hope you get something! I like to do a slow steady draw to get the weed hot...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Wand depth is hugely important, check the new instructions Brenyo provided for some good pictures. 1mm up or down on the height of your adaptor can make a big difference (there may be some variations in wand depth/coils so best to experiment, you will find your sweet spot). I usually use the...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I haven't really done a comparison between native and WPA on glass, do prefer using a WPA, shorter path and keeps the stem clean. Tbh I've barely been using any of the glass I used with the mighty and Dani Fusion, native is just so clean and easy. @Brenyo lovin the improved instructions, be a...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I was smoking my reclaim today as well, entirely by accident. Had disassembled and fixed my VI so had heated empty right to the max to test the indicator, once done I dropped it in my heatsink to cool. Noticed a big puff of vapour coming out the mouthpiece, and a 2nd time, the air being forced...

    OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

Ordered mine last night  wondering about the engraving options as well, engraving is only on the bottom I thought so won't spin as such? Also thought it was only text available. can't believe I'm hyped for a grinder, really looking forward to this!

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Fixed my VI  third time re assembling, can't say it was any less fiddly, (definitely do not attempt after a drink or 2, actually had to give up last night lol) not sure why wouldn't get past the third notch before but back to working perfectly now Still preferring full bowl, direct tube...
