The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

That's a shame, is this because they were poorly manufactured or a design change that didn't work? If it's a manufacturing fault I hope you don't have to pay for them or get a discount. Prototyping sounds like a painful process!

    Firewood Vaporizer

Do you have dimensions for the square hole at the the top of the vape that the stem pokes out of? That's gonna limit the outer diameter of your stem

    Venty by Storz & Bickel

Would it not depend on the use case? If the user was planning on having multiple bowls leave the device on between bowls to save energy but once you're finished just switch it off straight away? I thought heaters consumed the most energy when actually changing temperature because of that...

What would be your Trinity of vapes?

Personally I don't think the Thermal Disconblobulator v2 can be topped. They're overcomplicating the v3 adding bluetooth and a flow sensor but maybe I'll be proven wrong!

    Firewood Vaporizer

I got one the later models I think. It was the first of the models to start coming with the cover that fits the dyna stems but it still came with the og skinny glass stem with a bit of wood at the top.

    TinyMight / TM 2

I've used the rimmed basket screens before with my TM1 and haven't burnt my bud but you probably will get a donut. It's a bit annoying but you don't have to push your stem in all the way if you want more space between the heater and herb. I always find the brimmed screens get caught on the...

First vape for a (loong time) smoker

Does the vape have to be battery powered? The dynavap or sticky brick is probably the closest you can get to combustion without spending crazy money. The vapes mentioned in the above response are the top tier heavy hitter butane/IH heated devices and I would add the Anvil to the list but these...

    Firewood Vaporizer

My FW7 temps feel hotter than the same temps on other devices, I'm guessing the FW9 would be similar. It might be because of the ceramic or it might be a less calibrated controller than other devices. I think most manufacturers measure the resistance of the heating element and try to calibrate a...

Your favourite session vape (stoned feeling)

I think the MiniVap Hybrid or an S&B might be your best bet for a long session. There's also the AirVape legacy pro which has some conduction if you use it in session mode but I find it hard to get long sessions and it's hard to clean. There is also the FW9 but its more on demand than session...

    Firewood Vaporizer

Are quality issues with the FW9 common? Looking at the most recent couple of pages on this thread I've seen a broken button, a button that looks a bit skewed, a device that won't turn on and a cracked ceramic oven lining. I really like the look of the FW9 and love my FW7 but I'm having doubts now.

Help choosing between FW9, MiniVap and Venty

Thanks for the input! The MiniVap does sound like the best session vape and I think the 4 hours should be plenty to reach the stars for 1 or 2 nights  I was thinking I could get a 2nd battery if I really need it. I've used the fw7 camping with a group of 4 before and it worked well, I kept...

Help choosing between FW9, MiniVap and Venty

I'm looking to add a more session style device to my lineup. The main thing I want from this device is that it's easy/has a big enough bowl to share for camping trips. These are the 3 devices I'm trying to choose between FW9 - I'm aware this is more considered on demand but compared to most of...

What would be your Trinity of vapes?

    1. TM2 2. Couchlog 3. Anvil Other devices I've tried but left out that appear popular on this forum: AVLP - I find the cleaning too much effort and I prefer the taste of my TM2 FW7 - I really love my fw7 but I find it much easier to load my TM2 when outside OG Mighty - The S&B tickle was too...

Yeah you definitely can, that's how I packed my first couple of bowls. I found there was still small bits of dust sticking to the ledge that need brushing off but it's honestly not a big deal. I'm just being overly careful with my expensive new toy! It might be better not to use the funnel for...

I only got my CL on Monday and I've been using the straw packing method with no problem. There's a filling funnel funnel that comes with the CL, I'd recommend you use when straw packing it keeps the small ledge in the herb chamber clean.
