Completely normal, I will perform and post some temperature tests for you all. Combustion via convection at these temperatures is virtually impossible because of the heat exchange process. This is what my earlier post was about (Which I deleted because I worded it weirdly, but I will back eventually with real world tests).I am running my Frolic at max temp 240c . I am getting good cloud and dark brownish AVB with some less dark on the top (Half open airflow). Is that the normal performance for max temp ? I would expect it to be near combustion or combusting at this temp. Just want to make sure it in line with what other have or if it need calibration.
Thanks!
People here mostly said they prefer to use S&B capsules since most have them and they are available, hence the updated cooling unit (CU) part. We plan to release our own hard anodized capsules. Funnel and spoon noted. I was actually working on a PEEK spoon design with a tap tool.Nice! Will you also be releasing your own capsules with safe and performant materials (hard anodized aluminum, etc.)? Or is there a brand/model of third-party capsules that you would recommend?
EDIT: A funnel to make it easier to load the bowl without spilling herb all over the place would also be nice! Or a special little spoon made of PEEK or bamboo...
The discount will end in a matter of days. Will the 10% reduction will be available when new batch comes in and/or when this concentrate insert is ready ?
Silicon grease because of its heat resistance and safety, also petrol gel but it lacks the heat resistance so would need to be applied more often.Silicone grease
This is what I use. Or rather should have, since some devices went out without being lubed, apologies.Yes, this. I have the Dupont Molykote 111 which is food grade (NSF H1 certified).
Yes and yes. 2 weeks away max now.Very excited for the new CU. I believe if you already own the device, @Dejan LimelightHerb mentioned something about getting them either for free or at a discount but please feel free to correct me.
I bought mine on VGoodiez so hopefully, if there is a discount system for the CU, it applies to vendors as well.
Also curious about the capsules. Sounds like the new CU will accept the S&B capsules while Limelight continues to develop theirs, along side other accessories.
Basically to use S&B capsules, nothing else. What new CU? Why would we need that already? Just curious thanks!

Mine already fits the S&B capsules in no problem. Also curious about the capsules. Sounds like the new CU will accept the S&B capsules while Limelight continues to develop theirs, along side other accessories.
That's probably the current currency conversion factor. You are paying in BGN (?) and the exchange rate probably changes daily. Mine was off by a few (4? 5?) Euro as well. I would not change the amount, definitely not.anyone paid with the Viva option? when I choose that option, it ends up charging me (autofilling the amount field before i put my card number) with 313,75 EUR instead of the 306,79 EUR listed on limelight's website. I can modify the amount but not sure if that would mess up the order in the end.
Thanks! I got a very quick email response from Limelight that same day and you are right, just had to make sure the price was right in BGN. I run mine on max temp on Demand all the time yet to Combust in it think if it were possible id of found it by now. Even close the air off quite a bit to see if It wouldCompletely normal, I will perform and post some temperature tests for you all. Strange, mine don't. Even if they are an ss version I just got from china, they must be the same size. it's either with a gap or snug but cap less. That's why Dejan plans to modify a cu part...Mine already fits the S&B capsules in no problem.
That's pretty cool.Maybe everybody already knows this, maybe it's even in the manual. It was new to me,....
I discovered on demand session mode! We all know that to engage the heater in session mode, we click once.
Another single click turns the heater off, another single click reactivates. What a great way to mix session & on demand.
I actually got the Frolic for the on demand mode. For session mode, I have the Venty. Or so I thought. I just wanted to see if session mode really was as "bad" as Austyn made it appear. Turns out, I REALLY like it, it is more agreeable to my breathing apparatus than Venty. Did not think that would be possible. The on-demand mode is so fast and so powerful
InterestingI've been vaping my bowls like hitting a joint that doesn't continue burning when you put it down.
Lately it's been on-demand DTL @418F with AFC about 30-40% open.Interesting
And you use it dtl or mrl? What af settings and temp?
Did a bowl of type 2 flower at 385 DTL, AF 75% open. 4 hits, great flavor.Lately it's been on-demand DTL @418F with AFC about 30-40% open.
Dirty negative contact on the battery or dirty bottom of the battery cap. We actually applied another type of stickers first which left some residue then cleaned it and applied the current stickers, but yours might not have been cleaned well, please check and sorry.I actually got the Frolic for the on demand mode. On one of my session mode bowls, I noticed the heat was off. Since I was sure the timer hadn't run out, I assumed that I may have accidentally hit the button. Tried it, and confirmed the "new feature". I've used it for several "sessions" since and find it works fine when I don't want to be pushing for every hit, but don't want to do a complete "session".
OK, @Dejan LimelightHerb, a (very) minor quibble: I found that the battery bar drops fairly quickly. All of a sudden, it was down to one segment. So I wanted to see numbers, put the battery in my external charger and it said 49%. Maybe the battery display could be fine tuned for the next release.
