I received mine.

It is great but there is something rattling inside when moved.

It appears like something is not fixed inside and it is moving and rattling around heater area.

Anyone else noticed this?

It is very loud and annoying.
Hello

Mine too. He makes a noise when I shake him. Like an object that moves in the unit

@Dejan LimelightHerb Is this noise normal or a defect?

Pro tip, don't shake it.🤗

🤣🤣🤣 No but seriously, MDude complained about this and at first I thought it was some issue but couldn't figure it out. I have now. The ceramic pins going through the heater are shorter than the diameter of the tube in which they fit. This was done to eliminate the axial force in case the mod is dropped and so they would pass the drop tests. In some instances, the wrapping of the heater is such that these pins can move around a little. In other words, nothing to worry about.

About the shipping methods, I promise you, this is not down to frugality. We simply overlooked this.

The heat protection is a feature, it will kick in only under extreme circumstances, this has been tested and is nothing to be worried about, don't push the device as hard.

Hello,
Has anyone here ordered this vaporizer from Canada?
If so, could you tell me how long it took to receive your order after placing it?
Thanks!

I went to order but the payment system is weird. A paypal link send me to a name a i don't recognize and ask me to input the amount of the transfer. It ask in EUR but the price was shown in USD. So i passed . Wish the payment system looked less like a scam and didn't ask you the amount you want to send in another currency then the shown price.

LordKahel,
Has anyone ordered a Frolic from the UK store? I ordered one on Friday , received the Royal mail tracking number within an hour. Have checked tracking this morning and Royal mail are still expecting it. Is this normal? I emailed Frolic yesterday (prob too soon due to the weekend) and was told I would get it today (not sure how they would know this). I am in the UK.
Royal mail have received it now( just received the email) and will be delivering tomorrow morning.

I posted because I've never known such a long delay between being given the tracking number and Royal mail receiving it but you live and learn.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

The payment process is not yet optimized, but can definitely be trusted, as demonstrated by all the people here who have received theirs.

As long as we are open and honest, we can move forward and get better
This is THE most important thing, really. Every couple of days, I check into the AVLP threads and people in the AVLP shipping thread are not happy. Even bad news communicated openly and honestly is so much better than no communication.

As I've mentioned previously, the way you show up here and communicate with us has made me order one already. I had considered my VAS cured and was not planning to buy another battery portable this year. Or next.

2 days to Canada then 3-5 through Canada. Dispatches the same or the next day depending on the time.

I would be concerned if you recognized my mother's name 🤣

Yes, many things are lacking in the process atm, we are around a week away from resolving most things so if you would feel more comfortable ordering then, there is no rush of course.

Cheers man, hope it arrives soon and serves you in good health!

Where did you find it? Both places I bought my last vape batteries (IMR and Illumn) are out of (or don't carry) Molicel P50B and EVE 50PL
I hadn't ordered yet so I didn't want to say but now my order is placed along with $120+ in flashlights I didn't know I needed.

I ended up ordering off of the Convoy flashlight website. It's China based and they are red-wrapped but seems legit and the company is respected on Reddit and review sites so I figured it was safe.

imrbatteries.com I checked with and they said they expect to receive 50pl stock "very soon" which I think means this month. I'm going to have to order more from them because now I have a bunch of flashlights coming (only $4 more to add the 50PL to each light) too and all of a sudden a bigger 21700 ecosystem than I ever planned. I hope flashlights don't become another hobby....

Had some decent results with my glass redducer and dark brown abv today. Too restricted airflow doesn't go hotter. Went from 10% open to 20-30% with long strong steady draws. One preheat at 239 until vapor then 2 or 3 long 220 draws to Crush it with 2 or 3 whispy hits at 239. Got some device too hot in the way but if it's not an issue... also adapted a 12mm basket screen to have a somehow bumpy flat screen on the cu. Getting more used to the type of draw - af reatriction combinations.
Good flavor even if a bit dry and very good effects.

That's nothing! According to the original tracking, mine was supposed to arrive on Saturday (shipped from the Netherlands to the Netherlands). Then nothing, until yesterday it turned up in Hungary (half a continent away)... I hope to get it soon but at this point I'm keeping my expectations low 😅
I was right to keep my expectations low. The package is now in Germany! 🤷‍♂️

So a package sent from one city of the Netherlands to another is going on a little Eurotrip....

It sounds like several of these shipping companies are pretty incompetent. 🤔

Wich type of reducer you found best? The flat one on bottom or the one with the hole in middle?

Damn, I knew about my country but it looks like the state of shipping in Europe is in shambles. Your exemple is so profundly dumb that it triggers me eventho I'm right after a session :')

For the moment the one with the hole in the middle. It's mostly the other one that adds too much heat in the device. But I need to continue tinkering...

The more I use this thing, the more I like it. My complaints about the rough outer surfaces have been alleviated through handling and use (and the initial rubdown with a microfiber cloth). Everything is nice and smooth.

While I've hampered airflow with my dosing caps, I'm picking up a slightly more thorough extraction from the added hybrid heating and bottleneck for the hot air. Maybe it's also that more of the material is now getting cooked with each draw, vs partial when the oven was filled before. Don't take this as a scientific analysis, though.
So I've just made a really oversized V3Pro/Roffu/Fury3 now, but with the ability to finish at least one draw before the others would even be up to temp. I do like the simplicity of the device, though, and the long battery life.

It's still early days but I can see the frolic replacing a lot of my devices, and being a staple for a long time.

Also what did yall use to lube the orings?

Beeswax. Comes in little cups and stuff and is also great to seal/condition wood. I've got little cups of it from dynavap, dougs woodery, and others. It's organic and safe and long lasting and cheap, and is the ideal lubricant for orings on our devices. (NOT using saliva, nose grease, or whatever other body fluids you monsters say you use omg)

To that end, I REALLY recommend everyone lubricate the oring around the oven where the cooling unit attaches. Makes everything click into place very satisfyingly afterwards.

Convoy is legit, and the guy who owns/makes them is fantastic. You really can't go wrong with any of them. I'd trust any batteries he sells, because some of those lights draw serious amounts of juice.

Oh god. I've forgotten my login there and feel that's a good thing. That and BLF Group Buys. Stay away from r/flashlight, too, unless you want to take out a mortgage for Emisar/Noctigon lights.

You know what? I actually think it's too late for @mcscruffy . RIP

I've had mine for a bit longer and I feel the same way. I'm learning how to get the most out of it and which settings I like. The heater is just so quick and powerful that it overcomes most conditions that prevent good extraction. That and the easily adjustable airflow.

I ripped through a bowl last night at 400F and it was a very tasty and efficient workflow. Now that I've gotten more proficient on when to kill the heater and clear the hit, things are even tastier.

This is not what is happening though. PostNl gets a notification and the package travels from Bulgaria to Hungary to Germany and then finally arrives in the Netherlands when the tracking number at PostNl becomes active and finally arrives. It has been shipped on Friday, meaning this has been in transit for like 3 working days to date. All good and should show up soon.

Thank you for the clarification!

I misunderstood things because the tracking said the sender was in the Netherlands, but Maja just clarified that "they have a contract with PostNL and we receive the tracking number while the package is still in Bulgaria at their warehouse."

To be clear, I was impressed by how fast you guys shipped it. 🚀

It's just that the tracking originally said it was shipping from NL and would be delivered on Saturday, so my expectations were out of whack with reality. I appreciate your patience in answering my frantic questions. I just want to have my vape... 😅

It overheated and shut down on the third draw but I was babying it to give it extra priming. I know with tb2 the sensor you can't dry fire or you risk breaking it but it seems this can handle better by programming and design though if you dont pull enough air maybe it gets hotter faster. I like at least 50% open for hash. Having it at 10-30% for priming seemed to heat the device up too much.
If you have more Frolic vs TB2 comparisons (vapor smoothness, ease of use, etc.), please share them in the dedicated thread:

Thanks!

The hype is real! i dig it!
Thats awesome! So wild you ran yours at 464 F. I think the highest Ive done so far is 415F. And still got a overheat message lol.

This is why I think the better advice on overheating is to be careful on running dosing caps back to back, especially since we are all using some that aren’t built for the device. I believe mine occurred because the capsules get very hot, and i popped another in back to back on 400 F.

I get that the overheating message is a safety feature (not sure why Customer Support, and some users here, thought that was my question lol, obviously it is), i was just surprised it did it on a back to back sesh. So yeah its the capsules for sure.
