That’s the same build up you get in every water piece or mouthpiece used to vaporize: reclaim oil. Volcano whips or bags make no exception. Perhaps the whip is somewhat porous and prone to staining. I think it’s perfectly normal and not chemical whatsoever. Same thing with every other whip system I tried, MBLF and Vapexhale come to mind. I agree with you that’s gross and the whip should be cleaned or replaced once in awhile.
It would be nice to know a safe alternative source for whips.

Proud new volcano hybrid owner here. First desktop vape but not new to vaping. What temps do you recommend to get that nice stoney couch lock high? Mostly vape indicas and hybrids. I prefer to use the whip with a water pipe adapter vs bags. Also, any other tips and tricks?

Hi,
I got mine a couple months ago but my digit is 9 year old and at least I know how I like bags.
The best compromise of flavor/potency while being not harsh on the throat is probably 191/192°C (credit goes to @Vitolo for finding this out).
The new Hybrid bowl has conduction going on, so I place it on top of the vape for 1,5 minutes (I still have to find out the sweet spot for the timing of this). The first few pulls from the whip will be notably richer in vapor, same if you are filling a bag.
I use capsule/capsule reducer exclusively, this imho helps a lot when cleaning as there’s basically almost no abv debris. I miss how fast it is to scoop out some weed and loading a bowl in 2 seconds but I found out that new easy valve hybrid screens can get badly deformed when taken out from its original position. The capsule reducer insert is said to improve conduction, it imho also minimizes the amount of debris falling inside the vape as it narrower than the original screen.
I still have to try workflows a single time and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions, but honestly I use mine at max temp the whole time, whip or bag. I find that this vape, as like as Venty, doesn’t perform very well with temp stepping, especially on the whip. Weed probably cooks out regardless if you are hitting the whip or not.
I clean my whip by filling it with alcohol every couple of weeks or when I feel the whip is harsher on the throat.
I’m not a glass lover, quite the opposite. With a meter long whip I don’t think it’s necessary, it just robs you out of even more cannabinoids and it’s redundant after such a whip. I would just lower my temperature if I had any discomfort or cooking just a capsule worth per time. This is my biggest advice, don’t load one gram per time, but just 0,1/0,15 so that you don’t have to do a second or a third bag, or restarting a session with half cooked weed with no terps on it. I experimented a lot also with microdosing of 30/50 mg and imho this is probably the most efficient vape I tried, micro or macro doses.

So happy to get this so cheap and will be use my volcano classic once again as had ran out of bags and threw the one you do yourself out.

This is EU but am sure you guys can get similar deal on eBay as the S&B store is just far too expensive.

Oh neat! Is it genuine S&B gear, or is it 3rd party? If latter, is the plastic quality and bag material comparable to S&B original? For regular users, I think S&B's annual sales are a great time to stock up on consumables, but not sure if they offer that outside the US.

It is genuine S&B it says but ahs not arrived yet, will be here tomorrow or Wednesday and will post back and let you know.

Going cheap with SB accessories creeps me out because it may be a knock off coming from Aliexpress.
The ebay auction pics do not include the cover of the box, also the easy valve seems a knock off, looking at the internals. In the real one there's a round plastic piece in the middle part, and it's made by 2 parts instead on that one the valve seems in one piece and made of metal, with a plastic cover that's similar to the real one. You'll probably have to place a screen, pour herb, punt another screen and place the "China Valve" on top of the Volcano, and disassembling the lower screen after every single bowl. The included brush seems also shorter than the original.

The seller's shop is not at all focused on vape supplies but on cheap ass stuff (clothing for the most part) that resemble real stuff, instead.
I would not collect the parcel and ask for a refund, if I could.

The bags just arrived and it is 100% legit. Even has the bag you can redo yourself and the valve is the exact same as the valve I got with my Volcano.

But just be careful guys as what @justcametomind says is also true and happens a lot so just keep in mind it is a chance you are taking by not using the manufacturers site, even Amazon sell knock off parts and vapes as I found out myself at the start of my vaping journey.

Turns out you are right this is not official S&B as I just compared the bags to original and there is no wiring on them. Apart from this there is no difference in material used and the bags and valve is identical to the original.
