Here is a pic of the blue bubbletrap version:

I might be reading the vapor path wrong but it doesn't seem like there is any recycling in this design?

Regarding the joint size version I recently standardized on 14mm because it seems like a lot of the 18mm designs are for larger loads than i want to vape. I know a lot of people like to get 18mm and use reducers. That bugs me personally, but subsconscious designs on ebay makes dropdowns and can make them in different sizes. Do you plan to use a dropdown? I just started using them this year and am never going back.
Gotcha, thank you! That's what I was thinking... looking at it again, I think you're right and there's no recycling. I was just focused on the chamber near the top but that looks like it would be an all vapor path with the water only at the bottom. I love the visual of that so that's kind of a bummer but regardless this looks like a really nice piece and I'm tempted... especially considering some other posts mentioning it took forever to find another color version in stock.

Regarding the joint size I recently standardized on 14mm because it seems like a lot of the 18mm bowl designs are for larger loads than i want to vape. I've learned that restriction, etc is more about rig design than joint size. For example, my 14mm calypso is as open as i'd ever want. I know a lot of people like to get 18mm and use reducers. That bugs me personally, but subsconscious designs on ebay makes dropdowns and can make them in different sizes on each end to adapt for example an 18mm bowl to a 14mm rig. Do you plan to use a dropdown? I just started using them this year and am never going back. I suppose if i was going to just get one i'd consider 18mm with a 18-14 dropdown. I think it also depends on how picky you are about the final product. Are you open to buying a few and selling the ones that don't win on EE?

This is helpful, thank you! I don't think I have a need for dropdowns at this time but your comment about 18mm really being for larger loads than you prefer is some good subjective guidance. Before I took a multi-year break due to working in the O&G industry I was way up there on tolerance and that's not somewhere I want to hit again. I go through .75-1g on the heaviest of days but typically stay <.5g for both concentrate and flower combined from day to day.

For this year at least, I would be using it purely with my Tempest 2, ALVP2, and Mighty+ and depending on how the legal landscape of hemp plays out the next few months locally and nationwide I may invest more into the desktop setups. I just don't see the need to go all in on that quite yet because legality aside I live around a lot of negative stigma for this.

This piece would mainly be for weekends when we are at our family vacation home by the water where we're on elevated private decks on our property.

I'm thinking 14mm would be the prudent choice... were the legal landscape to relax or at least stay the course through the federal and state sessions then that's an excuse to buy a bigger version next year. Now I just need to decide if this will be the piece or if I care so much about the recycling function just so I can see it in action that I choose another one.

Thank you again for your input!

Thank you! More or less the Prophet set up backwards for water, but with the tube>chamber>MP rather than just the tube>MP.

Yep! Same classic W hook pathway that works so well with all the right angles, except now it also has swiss holes, even more length and bend, simpler form factor, etc with perc and same joint sizes on either end for easy water use in same orientation as dry use...

So is the oracle supposed to work equally well used wet or dry?

Yep! Just simpler versatility

Which one is the blue bubble trap and would that affect the ability to see the recycling action at work?

Bubble trap is the name for the color, with fume, that has the added pattern texture... Bubbles are trapped within the fumed color work, as you can see visually (color for the Oracle leaves the main body clear so only the inside fab is colored so you can always see there, but safer to get clear or a light color if you care about full visibility)

was just focused on the chamber near the top but that looks like it would be an all vapor path with the water only at the bottom

Yep, you're not supposed to fill the water level high enough that it would enter the top of the fab, but It could interact with the bottom of the fab swiss sections (like vertex or other straight fabs, depends how much water you load, whether you want to have that be dry pathway obstruction or extra natural water perc)

love the visual of that so that's kind of a bummer but regardless this looks like a really nice piece

Yeah the visual is fun with clear, recycler doesn't fill the same way, milking, so it's a different function and visual experience ultimately

don't think I have a need for dropdowns at this time

Dropdowns are extremely useful, they will add even more cooling, but also they keep your vape/bowl lower off to the side out of your face (like modular mouthpiece, you can make any rig into a sidecar for great visuals in use this way) and they will keep the rest of the piece, especially any water, much cleaner... Also yes super easy to switch sizes in any direction with anything too

Thank you for all that input @Shit Snacks! There's a lot more to this than when I was collecting 10+ years ago and it's a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what to go with especially for a first piece in forever.

This seems like it has a lot of positive attention so I might do what I do best and dive in semi-blind and force myself to figure out the rest as I go. If nothing else I can say my scratch was itched... for now.

Yeah there is not user feedback on this one of course, but most of these have good resale value if for some reason you are not happy with it, could possibly even trade with someone else for another... Yeah these are all specialized pieces so it's hard to compare and they pull in a lot of good features from other stuff, in a way that makes it good for our needs... There are a lot of other great cheap options too, yeah different with water or dry, I think this will be tough to beat for dry smooth hits though, look forward to trying
