Tabletop Bong anyone?

Maybe not the oldest, but possibly the fartiest!
Another downside to the DIY tabletop bong. It appears I was putting too much pressure on the glass flask from the top of the wood frame. I noticed a little water at the base, and when I disassembled the frame, I noticed the bottom of the glass is cracked! Guess I'm buying a new flask (third one) and using some washers to put less pressure on the glass. :-(

oh bad luck w that. I was going to mention i bought a flask as well but what i am trying to do is upgrade a Terpcicle. They do Lab glass so its a fun site to look at their stuff and how it may be used.

the reason i went looking for that is the same vendor that sold me that also has multiply options which you may be interested in:

Thanks. I actually started with a flask holder, and progressed to the sticky pad. I prefer the look of the bong with just the sticky pad, but if it breaks the glass, no bueno. Once the replacement comes I’ll evaluate the rig with some washers to relieve the pressure on the glass.

Is that where it sits on the silicone dot? I can't imagine how that even happened!

yep, the cracks are where it sits on the sticky dot. The pressure from the wood frame was a little too much. I added a washer on the inside in each of the posts to relieve the pressure. my failures (lessons learned?) are more evidence Lee has done a great job balancing all the factors needs to produce a quality product.
