OLD MATE (formerly Medgrind)

If it works when overloaded and doesn't leave herb on your table then i will do the same with the Aroma-3

I am wondering if there is a way for the A3 to also have double bearings with the deeper-sitting lid? Might make it look comically tall, but could benefit from the stabilized lid plus prevent the spilling? hmmm

Hey everyone,

I have made the lid sit a lot deeper in the XL.

If it works when overloaded and doesn't leave herb on your table then i will do the same with the Aroma-3. I will wait for feedback before doing anything. It's nearly been 2 years that the Aroma-3 has not had an update.

It will probably require a redesign of the middle and top section though.

XL's are shipping and the latest titanium Aroma-3 are shipping also.

I am overdue for an update video. I will film one tomorrow for you all!

Thanks!

Ben
Good news! I'd also love to see hollowed-out top come out for the non-XL version if that's being considered/even feasible. I think this would help balance out the weight overall.

I have had an aroma 3 for a few days and its fabulous - previously grinding has been a chore and now i relish the opportunity compared to a space case knock off or plastic s&b one.

Love the tactile, solid engineering heaviness - fits so nicely into the ritual for me with letting the vape get up to temp when doing the grid/spin.

Just a pleasure to use as others have said just wish i had got one sooner.

I did think about waiting for the XL version but this is a great size and grids up more than I need at a time so i get to use it more rather than just do a big load.

Hello Everyone,

I filmed a update for you:

Thankyou!

Ben

Love that light blue top color! Hopefully I get one of those, and I like the orange too, but probably will just use SS the most anyway... Keep up the great work taking time, always love seeing the progress and the animals!!

This isn't the finalized version of the XL, but I thought I'd drop a quick vid showing the spin with some hybrid bearings. The dual bearing design allows you to use less accurate but high spin bearings and still maintain very little rocking. You can set adjust the teeth height much lower than the smaller Aroma-3 and still have no contact even when pushing down on an edge. Fantastic!!
