@Andreaerdna yeah, it is true it is mod job, not mine. But it doesn’t mean i couldn’t tell him he is not being respectful

And it is true I shouldn’t say it doesn’t have fiberglass until i can share first hand images, even if i find it logic they removed it 100%. At the same time i dont see the need to speculate in the negative way either.

By “baseless reassuring statement” you mean the info about the material or the glass fiber being removed?

Fool me one logic: melting mouthpiece, fiberglass, china export logo
(I like my Apollo with halogen heating,
I was on the edge with YLL angus before seeing china export logo and the problems with angus first mouthpiece)

The fiberglass being removed on the basis of what YLL said only

I do not share your coolness with regard of sucking very little of fiber glass dust when vaping. but that is a legit position, absolutely not one I would recommend though, and if we were close I would try to change your mind about

Edit: it exists many different fiberglass and even more glass wool, and therefore data valid for home insulation glass wool is not valid for glass wool used in heat protection applications.. I do know very little but enough to not want this shit near me while taking a very long breath

Melting mouthpiece problem is resolved time ago.

If i´m not wrong, the China Export logo was on the first batches of the angus v1, but Yll shared the certificate after that. With the enhanced, the guy who started this always used a pre release render to show how the enhanced uses the China Export logo, but the real device shows a Conformité Européenne logo.

Another interesting point about it would be to know what the CE logo means since there are people worried about it:

The CE logo is only mandatory on certain products for which there are EU specifications, and depending on the product, they have to comply with some directives or others (it is not something generic that provides total security. The safety is provided by the directives involved in obtaining the CE). There may be specifications for eliquid vaporizers, but herb vaporizers are usually classified as aromatherapy devices (to avoid being classified as electronic cigarettes). These types of devices usually follow 3 directives, but not necessarily all 3 at the same time: 93/42/EEC, 1223/2009/EC and the 2024/288. The first one is the health directive. As far as I know, to comply with it you have to detail to what ailments or diseases it is directed, besides that in Europe the most you can aspire to talking about something similar to a directive on a cannabis vaporizer is the medical certificate, which only have some S&B products and the Minivap. why do I say this? Because the directives that surely comply on the vaporizers we use is the third directive (on Ambient Air Quality) and on electronic devices with other directives (such as ROHS (2011/65/EU)). There are no specific directives or testing with medical tests, even if they have the CE logo because, if I am not mistaken, it has not yet been full established which directives should apply to DHVs.

Summary: It is good and a must that they have the CE certificate to have a minimum of product safety. But the fact that they get it does not make them 100% safe in case of DHV. It is not a matter of origin, but that it is not yet properly regulated (again, if I am not mistaken).

I understand your point about not inhale fiberglass, but my purpose in sharing information was to make known the results of studies and the consequences. Not to minimize, but not to aggravate in a blunt way, because, while it would be wrong to say that it is harmless, it is also wrong to attribute consequences of other materials, or to use outdated studies, to alarm (not about you).

My recommendation to any user has been to use it with water, or wait for the replacement. At the same time, I recommended them not to get carried away by what they can read on sites like reddit.

I have just seen a thread on reddit (r/vaporents) saying POTV do not have the AE listed anymore

I can see the accessories are available, but not the vape itself. There is still a teardown video on the site though, so..... 🤷🏻‍♂️

I guess it's funny, because they think these defenses are toxic lol many have been claiming FC is complicit in hiding this bad news to protect the company... It's important anyone knows everything from every side if they really care, but I would agree that retailers hiding the potential issues helps no one really, just their own bottom lines...

@Minsc_NBoo so people have forced a store with reputation to join a boycott by launching deplorable accusations.
Vaporents has become very, very toxic with this issue.

I think a lot of the outrage is justified. I think YLL have handled this poorly

With any potential health issues relating to a vape it's better to err on the side of caution. I don't think people should use the devices until rigorous testing has been done

I wouldn't say that the majority of vaporents are overblowing the issue. One user has done a lot of work compiling a lot of information and with photos of teardowns to back up the criticisms

to join a boycott
Why do you use boycott word? Do you know directly from POTV? Otherwise it looks like a choice based on precaution, and what are
deplorable accusations
is it deplorable to reveal and not to want a very hot glass wool near your mouth when inhaling?

deplorable is the way YLL answered, and the way some still trying to diminish the hazard in order to defend YLL sales

deplorable is comparing glass wool used in home insulation (cold) with another glass wool (still not cleared which one by YLL) heated @more than 200*C near your mouth while you inhale, it is almost like comparing growing a tobacco plant and smoking a cigarette

staying on topics: the fact that glass wool ended up partially in dust without mechanical action indicate that temperature exceeded binder tolerance (there is glass dust and an organic binder in glass wool, the binder is different for each application and it is the one off gassing)

If you purchased directly from YLL you go to the Contact page on their website and contact Mike with your order number. That's what I did and I recieved my replacement body a week or so ago.
