I don't care about the context of this; the tone of your message is unacceptable for an admin to take.
Belittling users and telling them to shut up or get points, then demanding respect, is not how social interactions work.
I can't believe a mod would talk like this to someone on the forum. The way it was handled DOES reflect poorly on the forum. Your language and attitude does as well.

Sounds like Yll has a version that’s supposed to be fixed and is ready to ship? @chillAtGVC and @seedy53 have replacements inbound, and I believe @seedy53 posted a teardown video of the new version recently, but not seeing it in the thread (might’ve gotten caught up in the bickering yesterday?).

yep, i did post it and removed it because i realized some people who hate yll, would just shit on the video. simply, it's not worth fighting a mob mentality.
most people have already made up their minds, either way.
just repeating the same conclusions based off the given information that maybe right, wrong or somewhere in-between, just starts flame wars.
also some individuals, who seem to think they have all the facts and not willing to consider more, can not be reasoned with at all. however, tearing down or guilt tripping individuals for their personal belief, i want no part. so i'm out

I don't think that has been stated by YLL. I asked if these replacements were for everyone or just those who want one and my vendor replied "Everyone who bought an Angus Enhanced from Soothing Vapours will receive a replacement Angus body." Read into that what you may.

Yea, I asked for a refund or replacement from Element Vape. They said since I was out of my 30 day return window, it's a no go. I tried going into detail about the issue but they have not responded. I doubt they will.

By "hating," you mean being critical of an unscrupulous company who put hazardous materials in an inhalation device and lied about it? That's not hating, that's exercising our rights to free discussion on a company that STILL hasn't taken accountability for being a detriment to people's health, nor at least advised users to stop using the AE immediately. They've doubled down that the airpath was isolated. So, if that's the case, why the need to redesign the device? Zero accountability or remorse and a complete disregard for user safety. With that being said, the new teardown is available to see on youtube and reddit and from what I can see, the device has been updated but still has glass fiber sleeves. There is no way I am touching another product from this company, nor accepting a replacement device. I've consulted with a product liability lawyer from a firm I work with and am hoping I can provide some assistance for those who have had resulting health issues from the device. More to come on that.

I was told by “mike” i was getting a replacement. Never received anything and ghosted me right after he sent me that a few weeks ago.

you know i think you're overestimating the number of people who are vaping and might be shopping for a vape and have seen articles or forums about the Angus Enhanced issue. Many people may not be aware of any issue and some people may not think its a big deal. A quick check revealed that there are numerous online Vaporizer stores selling the Angus Enhanced . I won't mention names to knock anyone if they do or they don't sell these. But i think a seller might have a ton of stock they still would like to sell their items if possible, like if they were remediated for instance.

Glorg's facts are right. Your post is still up. I'll take the point to demonstrate that you explicitly lied by claiming that Glorg was "some stoner on the internet" when they literally quoted the post you typed. It isn't even taken out of context--simply quoting something of yours. If calling out blatant lies by moderators gets me points or kicked off the forum, then I will happily pick up and go.
If my calling attention to power abuses counts as "a little nastiness", I would welcome someone to educate me on how best to address objectively-false claims made by those in power, as I don't believe I've included any direct personal attacks and have exclusively worked to call out the particular behavior in question rather than the person. Staff works hard to create a safe environment for us, and I feel they dropped the ball on this issue, and those behaviors require correction for community trust to be rebuilt.
As for this thread: how utterly insane would you have to be to still buy one of these devices? The community surfaced a series of problems related to YLLVape including falsifying certifications and potential material safety issues, and in this very thread you have several folks who are being ghosted while attempting to get (often legally-required) refunds from the company. They haven't addressed their material safety certifications at all and at this point I wouldn't trust any teardown videos posted by YLL since we've seen a blatant willingness to lie about internal safety measures. They never addressed the Conformité Européenne certification that is claimed on their devices and which is alleged to be faked (and seemingly has no real verification). They never addressed some of the unspecified materials, nor did they address several users asking about a recall since it is now known that the device is potentially unsafe for consumer use.
For anyone on the fence and hoping for a teardown video from YLL: all I can say is your health is in your hands. If you feel comfortable potentially inhaling fiberglass fibers and who-knows-what-else that may result from other unknown materials, you are welcome to patronize this company. Many folks still smoke cigarettes (including me again lately), and I would argue that consumerism is similarly addictive to nicotine, so I understand how an addiction can lead people to make ill-informed decisions for their own health. Slainte and I wish you the best.
