I might allready have asked but was that glass piece an old original lotus release ? It looks really nice and has nice angles

In case anyone else searches this thread in the future, M2 x 10mm screws did the trick! the ones I used are less pretty than the original screws because they’re carbon steel machine screws rather than stainless steel flathead screws, but they’re also more robust, and I’d like to avoid needing to remove screws with stripped heads from this thing ever again if I can help it.

That's the fun part, we don't (the discoloration and, eventually, warping from heat are permanent, that's why the refresh kit is sold).
it's a cheap alu and glass smoker's pipe that I modified with a 14mm wooden adapter. I also changed the stem for a spiked one. The result is very nice, I like it for outdoor use.

I don't really know much about when they made it available or how many were sold, but the Vaporscope is perfect for the Lotus and other small torch vapes. I happened to find mine 4 or 5 years ago in a German webstore if I remember correctly but it was just dumb luck. Maybe there's another lurking out there?

Not at all! The bigger cylinder that houses the bowl and that the Lotus mounts onto (this is easy to see in @maremaresing’s pictures but isn’t really clear in mine, sorry) has enough thermal mass that it doesn’t get hot while in use, and it’s a comfortable size+shape to hold.
I was originally a bit jealous of the low- and ultra-low-profile pipes they’ve made since I ordered my Petal pipe, but I actually like that this one has the extra thermal mass + surface area for a comfortable, not-too-warm grip on the bowl piece.
