Puffco Proxy

No thoughts, head empty
Was cleaning out my vape drawer and decided to give my proxy another go. Picked up a cheap bub, a joystick cap and some (presumably) good quality budder to see if I could get it to work for me, and it’s become my daily driver! Think I see what y’all enjoy about concentrates now, the little bit of water and longer vapour path from the bub really smooths out the harshness for me.

I like my proxy too. With water conditioning and the right temp setting (I do blue and green), the proxy fits the bill for me. I still find value in my plus too

I’ve actually found green or red to work best with the stock pipe, red or white for the bub with my current concentrate. Think the extra heat helps break down the terps a little?

How’s the Plus? Been thinking of getting a smaller device for when I don’t have room for the Proxy, but can’t tell if the shorter air path on the pen style devices will be too much.

PIVOT > plus :2c:

The Pivot performs just as well if not better than the Proxy. (IMO I have both but every device has variances) Form factor isn't much larger than the plus and the short air-path is somehow magical. Perfect for real dabs while out and about. You can dial it in to hit like a pen or just like your proxy

How’s the Plus?
I've had my Plus for several years. It's not the latest iteration but if I recall correctly the most recent version had no real upgrades.

I bought the Plus as an entry into using concentrates (after having been disappointed by coil pens). It had a small learning curve regarding which temps worked best for me and it needs cleaning after each use if you want to keep things operating as smoothly as possible (I'm too lazy to do that and clean it every few sessions). Vapor can be harsh if you hit it too hot / hard.

The niche it fills for me is when I need a few quick, potent and discrete hits. I used it most recently at a wedding. Kept it in my car and visited the parking lot every now and then to 'top off,' so to speak. I tend not to carry it on my person as it is not odor free. I use carts if I know I won't be able to ditch out to the car unnoticed when I need to. Folks say don't use big dabs with it, which is accurate because it can get messy if you're careless, but when I need it to be ready for a number of discrete on demand hits I put a decent sized glob in there and work my way through it over the course of an evening/event.

I haven't bought the Pivot simply because I would use it for the same thing I use the Plus for. If I didn't have the Plus, I'd definitely go with the Pivot. It seems to have incoporated some good upgrades, particularly the bucket size
