What’s everyone’s THCA online vendor?

I’ve been strictly vaping THCA flower lately due to safety, quality, lab tests, and convenience. My older dealer had potent flower, but something felt wrong with it. Had iffy side effects with their bud that the THCA flower doesn’t do to me.. I mainly pickup locally in the Charlotte NC area, but considering ordering online based off suggestions. I’m familiar with cult of the franklin, but I like FC more than Reddit lol. Any vendor suggestions?

I regularly use Flow Gardens and WNC-CBD. I have been happy with 90%+ of their stuff.

All I can tell you about THCa flower I posted about in this thread:

...but overall, she liked the flower from Arete and would allow me to buy her more anytime....:tup:

Thanks for the feedback! I had WNC once in the past and it was super dry and harsh to rip (cryo cured) seems like that has been resolved since then and now I’m aware that it’s almost necessary to have boveda packs on hand for the occasional dry THCA flower. You ever run into this issue with THCA flower being too dry?

I haven’t had that issue with WNC, I did have that issue with Tweedle Farms, and one other I am blanking on right now.
I always add a boveda pack as well

I’ve had good experiences with Tweedle Farms since they started using humidity controlled Grove bags.
Interesting. it looks like they finally have new product, the last several times I had looked, they were out of basically everything, kinda thought they were going under.
Glad to see that’s not the case, maybe I’ll give them another shot. Thanks

I look at Tweedle Farms and see CBD Hemp products?

**************************
And I have a more general, dumb question.
Is all the THCA flower sold online Hemp? I'm losing tack of distinctions.

I once bought Hemp bud (cbd) and didn't like the taste at all.
That was a few years ago, $35 from a farm in Oregon. Now thca flower at these web places can be over $200...

I understand that the feds left a loophole when they wrote regs for Hemp (very low thc allowed, but didn't specify thca). That opened a big door.
Some of what I've written here sounds less coherent than I'd prefer, but, shit, I am pretty confused about this topic.

I generally buy thca from either Ocean Grown Trees, Piur select, holy city farms, or Hoku. In the case of hoku you need to be a member to get type 1 or 2 offerings. Well worth it to sign up for the wait list for membership. Once a month you get a ground mix of the various things he’s been growing. Some of the most medicinal cannabis I’ve found.

yeah, they only have CBD product, I think they used to have THCa stuff, but I looked earlier this week and they only have CBD now

They all use different terms, probably to keep away from Johnny Law looking too closely?
It is definitely not easy to find sites that sell it. But they do usually have certificates that tell you the THCa % and most of the ones I’ve seen range from 17% - 25% ish.

For Flow Gardens, they distinguish by using Flower I as the THCa category.
For WNC, they call it as it is: THCa

I‘ve only heard positives about Hoku, but haven’t gone the membership route (Flow Garden gets some stuff from them and will mention in description)

I have done a pretty extensive search for sites that carry THCa, here are a few of them that I have NEVER used, so cannot recommend. But if anyone does want to take one for the team, I’d love to hear about them!

(recommended by @Bologna , so should be good to go!)

Currently, "Hemp" is defined as cannabis that tests below .3% D9 THC... simple as that. As for Arete, the flower quality was determined by proxy, and she burns flower, but she has pretty good taste for a youngin', I'd say... she said it was like good quality mids. The sales experience was fantastic, however... They call high thc flower "Type 1 THCa Flower" there...

I’ve tried a few different vendors for THCA, and one I’d recommend is Secret Nature. Their products are pretty reliable, and I've had good experiences with the quality.

Preston Hemp Co, Fire Farms, both top shelf growers.

Preston live resin is quite good and their new disposables seem like they would be pretty nice, featuring the same THCA concentrate only mixed with some CBD as well! Hoping they will begin to offer those separately as dabs by the gram too... I'm kind of done trying to buy herbs this way though, just disappointing every time honestly lol (their THCA bud was meh for me when I tried a while ago, now I got their peach cobbler CBD bud that is okay at least but still so dry)

Last I tried was from Simply Mary, also meh

There is a store here by the name of Charmed Hemp that sells only THCA flower. So, if this is heated it has the same effects as the THC flower I normally use? Does Hemp/THCA have Terpenes? Their prices are much less than the THC products.

THCa flower is the product of a loophole in the Farm Bill that allowed flower with less than 0.3 %THC delta-9 to be sold as legal hemp. All weed is mostly THCa in its natural state and only converts to delta 9 on heating. This is the reason you have to decarb weed before using it to make edibles. So it’s basically weed by another name. And it does have terps, though it varies by vendor. There are a LOT of companies selling it now. I mostly buy from Ocean Grown, Hoku, and Handcrafted Famers these days.

If I vaped THCA flower from one your preferred vendors would I be able to recognize any differences?. A local dispensary advised me to stay away THCA flower because "it is ineffective compared to THC".

Well, of course they’re going to tell you that, they have a financial stake in the matter. Differences? You mean does it get you high? I vaped some GG4 from OGT awhile ago, and it got me as high and tasted as good as anything I’ve bought from a dispo. It’s weed. THCa weed is weed.

Yeah as I described, I don't consider it necessarily as full spectrum, but if it's high quality flower it is going to be good and get you high most likely... That local dispensary might even have THCA flower themselves, or some crazy bias that is misinformed? Some people don't seem to notice a difference depending what they are comparing, so you might as well try some for yourself??

I don't think it tastes quite as good as regular weed

If I was in a prohibition State though, it's all I would buy. Beats 6 month old dispo run off from Cali.

That's what I've heard! Hasn't been my experience yet. It's been a while for me though. The legal market likes producing bland 30% THC flower lately too, so maybe it's not so simple.

How many times does this need to be explained? It's a different name for the same thing. Weed is not supposed to have significant levels of delta-9 THC in it. If you got some that you thought wasn't as good as other weed, then it was just weed that wasn't as good as other weed.

Well I'm just stating my own opinion and experience compared to others' experience that have been shared with me... Don't really need you explaining it any times, but thanks

It's not a subjective matter. Just because you haven't found anything as good as your usual sources doesn't mean it's a different substance. It is possible to produce and sell shitty weed. Shitty weed is still weed.
