I have made a bunch of progress with my TA3. after pushing the screen down to expand the bowl and getting a better feel for the torch, I'm having great results. I prefer using unground herb with the TA and I usually get like 4-6 great hits. abv is dark brown through and through and I can pinch it and it crumbles and is bone dry. super effective! I'm still only using this thing in the evening. still not 100% consistent with my torching, so I have a wand on the way. hoping that will allow me to really dial it in so I can share it with others

I can see this being maybe a good vape for hanging outside by the pool, playing cornhole, maybe for the beach. but I think that would work better with a nice durable stem as opposed to my usual j hook or bubbler at home. it could easily end up getting dropped by somebody, and a stem is also much more discreet in term of neighbors and kids etc. does something like the revolve offer cooling on a level comparable to a glass hook or (dry) bubbler? I don't like taking MTL hits, ever... it's always DTL for me. thanks

Yes, absolutely. The cooling feature is actually so effective that everytime I want my vapor to be more punchy I tend to go with a simpler/shorter stem. Oh, and the wood sleeve is obviously a must for the TA.

On another note, as a V1 owner, it's great to see so many people are now enjoying their TAs!
Great job PP!

Thanks for this reply! Care to comment on the draw resistance with the revolve + TA? As I mentioned, I don’t enjoy MTL cigar style puffs

Draw restriction is very subjective. In my experiece, the TA restriction with a Revolve is comparable to a dry bubbler/j-hook.
FWIW, I mostly take DTL hits too nowadays, and I've found that I'm enjoying a simple ed's tnt stem with a TRWW intercooler way way more.
Obviously, YMMV.

Questions about the air intake:
  • How wide have you opened it (TA3)? I leave it fairly closed to simulate the "joint feeling" a little.
  • The screw on top of the air intake keeps coming loose - do you have any tips to stop this happening? I don't want to screw the screw in too tightly, I'm afraid of damaging the thread.

Dang it, I tried using the lotus bowl but couldn’t get it to fit. I have a bunch of o rings, I’ll try again.

Chasing my tail a bit with this thing. I guess that’s what I get for basically ignoring this whole class of vape after trying the dv when it came out…

My Wand just showed up too, so I have something else to fiddle with

I leave my TA3 almost closed also till it looks like there's two small round holes remaining.

As for the intake screw? Mine does what yours is doing and once when I thought I was unscrewing the bowl from the heat matrix I was actually unscrewing the airflow adjustment disc. Close call of all the balls scattering everywhere. I pay attention now.

I’m using it the exact same way.

Good to know it’s not only me, thanks. :)

I was afraid of the same thing at first, didn't want to damage the threads.
It kept coming loose while using the magsink, so after choosing a setting i just tightened it harder, slowly increasing power.
Worked perfectly and nothing was damaged, didn't come loose even one time afterwards.

I'd say 50% open, slightly less maybe. I don't have circles but a sort of bean shape.

Interesting. I leave mine wide-open and got a TA1 to have an even more open one! : D
The 1 is for the bong mostly. The 3 is just a pleasure to puff away, there's some restriction but not bad at all.

You're saying the TA1 has more airflow than the TA3? They were said to be about equal, with someone else here theorizing that the TA3 would have the higher air flow...???

If you take them off the stem and alternate pulling through there's no question, the TA1 is far more open than the TA3 with the valve wide open. And while it really does about as good a job, it's a little touchier to heat. I love it, tbh. The 3's fantastic too.

Wow I think I'm still glad I got the TA3 for the magnetic aspect at least, and maybe I won't want maximum airflow anyway... And what do you mean by touchier to heat exactly??
It's hard to describe because I'm pretty used to it now but the first evening I combusted twice with the Inductor and once with the torch. I was used to the TA3 already, partly, but also the TA3 is just more forgiving with either method, for me. Now I use them both as easily with either method.
