Now before going into the details I have to say I don't trust my energy meter a lot, anyways:
Let the ZX heat up and then measured energy consumption for 20 minutes, I measured 0.007 kwh.
That would mean the average draw is around 21W once up to heat.
I would have expected slightly more, maybe someone else can try to reproduce this result!
Also what seemed strange is that the coil says 100W, but while heating up the PID draws up to 200W. But well I don't really know how any of this works plus the device I measure with is not really high quality. I doubt it's a big issue.
I am waiting on my ZX Ordered 8- days ago,no word yet, There were some left at that time and Valentines Day interruption was mentioned last week. I did receive an Order number etc.

Not an electrician but ... Ratings generally refer to the maximum that a device will draw at maximum load. Like at turn-on or hard use at maximum temperature.

First ZXL + ZXLB rip @ 555F (half bowl screen position)

Function and flavor is amazing @invertedisdead

Thanks a ton for sharing my friend!

ZXL feedback has all been pretty positive from what I've seen so far so I'm super stoked everyone is enjoying them!

What's incredible is the temp doesn't seem to matter. The zx is just a little fog machine. Also, I haven't been able to get more than a light brown toast to my flower. But that doesn't seem to matter. Since this is the ultimate convection lol

You're definitely rocking with pure convection here! You can go as dark as desired if you push the temps, but the ZX is so pure in flavor I find it tastes quite bad to do so. IMO it's more interesting and a true test of a devices power band to see how much oils you can extract at lower temps ranges. With pure convection we're trying to lift the volatile components without cooking all of the plant material. Unlike most devices in this category, the ZX never becomes conduction dominant during usage, which allows the flavor to remain fresh and lively, exactly like the herb smells.

Man, one little scoop is perfect for full extraction. It's amazing

That's how we roll over here! With great material you can barely cover the screen and still get a huge smooth pull.
The ZX is the most efficient device I've ever used. I vape a lot so it has to be! :D

Just got my 1 n done technique down, it's the perfect rip for me. Thank you inverted

The Z Tribe Strikes yet again! thanks for giving me a chance!

Filled it up pretty good with just a slight tamp for a hearty ZX Pull !
:science:💨 ✌️
Curious to hear more user feedback about the big brother.

I can taste it from here! Thanks so much for sharing Ted, always enjoy seeing people rocking with my stuff!

It's a lot like that. ; )

I need more time with it but initial impressions are big, open, powerful. I've been running it at about 450F I think and that's about where I want to be with it normally, at least with the pipes I'm using. Maybe even a bit lower. I'm using the half-bowl and the flavor's great, and the effects are powerful. I'm only a few bowls in but I'd recommend it for sure!

Stoked to hear you're enjoying the ZXL thus far!! The half bowl position is quite nice, the bowl screens turned out a little harder to change than on the ZX but it's a ripper for sure. I have some ideas to improve that which I'm going to look into.

As of right now I'm not 100% sure if I will make more ZXL's; it seems like the interest has kinda dwindled and those that wanted one got one. We'll see how the rest of the month goes, but that's about what I'm assuming.

I am waiting on my ZX Ordered 8- days ago,no word yet, There were some left at that time and Valentines Day interruption was mentioned last week. I did receive an Order number etc.

Your order was one of the orders I packed up in the morning before I left for the airport.
One of my family members was supposed to take those to the post office for me, I just found out the other night that they never got dropped off. I don't understand why nobody took them in for me, I was pretty shocked to find that out. One of the boxes was $70 in shipping alone so I'm not happy about it; my cousin is going to take them in on Tuesday (Monday is Presidents Day)

I'm trying to find a company to handle shipping everything for me as I don't have the room in my small studio to do it all anymore which creates some of these delays; but the business doesn't make enough money to afford a bigger place to work out of, so it's tough.

Due to this industry it's harder to find someone willing to work with me. And I don't get enough orders for a lot of these shipping companies to want to work with me either.

I apologize for the delay, expect it to move early next week after the federal holiday.

Feedback/reviews about the ZXL are still very few here and almost zero on other social media. More are needed, also in video format, to show how this vaporizer works.
I also think that not everyone has realised how much even just your zirconia bowl makes your injectors different from others (I'm not just referring to the material).
I think that after even these steps, the question will arise or come up IMO. For a long time people have been asking you for an 18 mm injector.
There will also be a market for the wireless version, and for your other eventual designs.

Oh I know man. What amazes me is the potency. Highest I've gone temp wise is 500. And that only for late night single hit loads. Generally I hang out from 400-480. And I can confirm on the flavor. It's there until it's gone, with no noticeable degradation. Mind you, if I went above 500 I suspect flavor would suffer.

I'll put it like this. Up until I got my zx, my minivap was the best vape I'd ever used. Now it's the zx. If the minivap is a sublime experience, the ZX is a divine terp hammer to smite the unbelievers rofl.

I really do hope you keep putting out the zxl in the future. I want one. Just don't have the funds atm. And man, if you ever came out with a wireless injector...oh boy. I'd be all over it.

I'm going to guess Vapor Genie.
Exactly. It's a mini-glass sherlock, and it'a great vape!

ZX Delivered As Invertedisdead stated and put to Use after a short burn off. Thanks for A great Device. I Can medicate throughout the day by turning it on with its Fast Heatup. And small amounts.
Interested in its big brother the XL as well .

Social media exposure is tough, I get emails all the time from people telling me how much they enjoy my stuff and how it's their favorite out of lots of other ball vapes. But I'm usually the only one who hears these comments; that's why I added reviews on my website to help create more exposure. With only a limited amount of ZXLs produced I don't know how much exposure will come from it, but it was worth a shot.

I really do hope you keep putting out the zxl in the future. I want one. Just don't have the funds atm. And man, if you ever came out with a wireless injector...oh boy. I'd be all over it.

I think I was possibly the first to make a wireless ball vape, it was called the Electric Sandcastle. There's some videos and discussion in this thread, but there wasn't really any interest in wireless stuff when I first showed it off so it wasn't developed further. I used to heat up my InVerzion 1.5 with a 20MM col as well for cordless hits, possibly before the Electric Sandcastle. The EC was based on a hybrid heater that I created a few years ago. The concept was for an extremely affordable budget friendly vape, but I never released it as it didn't have the intense flavor profile I was looking for. Cloud chasers would love it though.

As for more ZXLs, not really sure there's enough funds or interest to build more of them outside the few I have left in stock. I'd probably have to do another preorder to make it happen. The idea was to offer a great price from these recent preorders to build interest in these devices and my company, but I'm not really a lot of new interest. Last week I didn't sell a single thing for the entire week so I'm not sure the brand awareness is truly improving lol.

The wireless ZXXL is still on the table but I guess I'm a bit skeptical to invest more into dry herb products for fear of it tanking the business or sitting on something that nobody is buying. I'm just not super sure of how popular the wireless desktops actually are, people say they want one; but it's hard to know if it's enough interest to truly make it worth finishing. Maybe I'll do a preorder for them, they were supposed to launch at the same time as the ZXL but I decided to hold off and keep working on the design. I think it's improved now than earlier iterations.

I'm ordering half as many ZX's this time as I normally order from my manufacturer because I don't really know if I want to keep selling desktop vapes; but these new ones should be really sweet ;)

I'd like to sneak some other prototypes into this run since I didn't have the opportunity last round.
I might open up ZX preorders again to help raise funds to build some new ideas to try.

How durable are these if dropped on a hard floor?

How many grams can the ZX and ZXL bowl hold?

I've dropped them on tile before when packaging them, was always fine for me.

I did manage to break the joint off one trying a different coil installation method. It wouldn't experience that type of force under any normal circumstances though.

The ZX can hold around .2 and the ZXL can hold around .5
Depending on the density of your botanicals of course; but that's an approximate capacity.
Ooooh! One step closer to my ZXL... I just paid the customs fees and it should be with me mid week 😁🥰

Hope you've been enjoying the ZXL and sleeping extra well! Much love as always my friend and thanks for the opportunity to be here!

Thanks so much for rocking with me and I'm super stoked to have another happy customer in the Z-Tribe! My apologies for the delays, I'm actually still out of town so I apologize to anyone if my communication has been lacking, I got some pretty bad news last night and so it might be a few days before I'm back online.

The ZX heats up quite fast for a desktop so it's super easy to turn it off when you're not using it. Glad you're already experiencing the supreme efficiency! I genuinely feel like the ZX literally pays for itself for anyone that vapes daily. The actual convection thermodynamics at hand for the ZX were inspired by the way a joint simultaneously burns+vaporizes.

I have Medicated with the ZX and realized exactly how little is needed for great Vapor. I put an infrared thermometer on the coil with pid set at 480F, shows about 480F,when put on the bottom of the heater about 370-380F which is about the highest Temperature for Terpene boiling points and find that setting 480-485F is where I will probably stay with the ZX Coil Temp. Setting.

Thank you buddy, it's exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you for making, what i consider to be the pinnacle of heavy hitting convection beasts.

First impressions of the XL was how beautiful it is, that black shiny zirconia looks incredible. The bowl has some serious heft! I think it would make a great makeshift weapon in the end of a sock! It's also surprisingly voluminous, and I can't help but nearly fill it most of the time 😳. I'm getting 2 or 3 massive and tasty rips from a fluffy filled bowl and it's certainly hitting as hard as I hoped 😁. It does make me realise again, after many months of your 14mm injectors, how fucking efficient the z8 and zx are. Clouds almost as big and potent with much less material.

The coil was perfectly tight, but easy to install with no fear of breakage. I've settled on about 510f on the auber, the zx I usually run at 475 and the z8 at 480. Just like it's smaller sibling the vapour starts very quickly and just keeps on until the load is spent. I think the XL gives bigger lungfulls, but it's pretty marginal really. I also think the flavour is slightly better from the XL, I've been getting what I call terp nose (when the terps make your nose tickle pleasantly at the start of an exhale) more frequently.

Once the honeymoon is over though I don't think it will be a daily, I think I'll save it for when I need a massive hit that takes me by surprise, the 14mm ones have helped me lower my tolerance a little, at least in terms of dose size, and if like to keep that in check lol. I used to fill several elev8r bowls an evening and don't need to get back to that lol!

So, thank you Ryan, you've once again out done yourself. It's fan-fucking-tastic! 🥰❤️

P.S. I'm very sorry to hear of more bad news for you. You've had a hell of a year of it, its bound to get better soon man 👍
