Yeah, after I posted here I looked at the discord, and the ceramo thread. Oy....

    Camouflet Ceramo XL

Putting a condenser in seems like it would reduce cooling. It would force the vapor just thru a titanium tube rather than letting the larger surface area of the zirconia inner walls of the stem cool the vapor. And using the ceramic tube also seems like it wouldn't cool as well, because the...

It's getting to be "late February". Can you throw us a crumb on timing, @Camouflet?

Yeah, but some folks had white oxide building up on the ti cap. I don't have any idea whether breathing titanium oxide is a problem, I prefer to just sidestep the whole thing. A 100% steel cap lets me do that. Same reason I like my lotus and didn't consider a brick--instead of trying to settle...

I agree, I was glad to hear it's SS, that sidesteps the whole "is titanium dioxide a problem" problem

In case anyone here is not on Reddit, here's some new info I gleaned there: ceramo stem is straight-bore 8mm internal diameter, and the cap is stainless steel, not titanium (this was unclear on the website)

i didn't take it as an attack, I was also just asking. I guess it will depend on how thick the walls of the tube are--zirconium is quite good at sucking up heat

Why do you say that? The zirconium itself is cooling, so the whole larger interior of the stem will have a cooling effect, instead of just the interior of the ceramic insert. I assume it will cool better because the hot vapor will be exposed to more cooling ceramic. (Just my guess, admittedly)...

Seems like any of the newer style dynavap mouthpieces that press fit into the stem would work. The hyperdyn mp is dark grey, so would look especially sweet. I have an M7 XL mp and an omni mp, will probably use one of those. (Oh yeah, I jumped on the preorder. Always been a fan of zirconium for...

    Discontinued RBT Splinter (All Versions)

Sorry, didn't see this until today. I was just hypothesizing that using it in straight wattage mode would give you information about whether the mod is capable of heating up the splinter. If it heats up in wattage mode, then the splinter is working, and your issue is in the program. If it won't...

    Discontinued RBT Splinter (All Versions)

Using it in straight wattage mode would give you feedback about whether it still heats correctly. Then you'd know if the issue is the Z or the mod

Oh I know. But I know him from the dynaverse, didn't know he was a household name around here too. Excellent fellow

No experience with this stem, but can vouch for the guy who made it. He modded a dynavap omni tip for me, did a beautiful job. I made my own version by just filling one of the standard RBT stems with boro balls, and putting a rimless basket screen upside down over them to hold them in.

There's a new maker making rbt stems. He's been making well regarded dynavap accessories for a little while https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/vK8JQAtRQ2
