I use dosing capsules 100% of the time, the metal chamber, with the WPA (as a mouthpiece). I’ve removed the screen from the gasket — but still use the gasket to keep the capsules in place. Becomes a VERY easy device to keep clean. But using capsules will reduce capacity slightly.

I wouldn't worry about damaging the device. It'll either charge the device, or it won't.

My limited experience (I use an external charger) is that if you can plug a USB-A plug into it (USB-A to USB-C cord), it should work. It doesn't seem to be true USB-C.
