I haven't used the FW6 much. The FW5 has grown on me over time but it did take a year (probably) before I began to appreciate it. In my case, it was because there were too many occasions where refilling was getting difficult due to constant family presence and that tray just became more useful...
I have three hoppers and an IO on order and I'm a supporter. I've read this post multiple times and I giggle a little every time at the thought that you expect it to be coming soon.
Forgive me father for I have sinned...
I'm not a big peat fan (prefer bourbon to scotch), but I do like the smoky aspect of mezcal.
It was always my assumption that mezcal was a subset of tequila. While in MX, I learned that tequila is actually a subset of mezcal. This was interesting to me. Tequila must use agave but mezcal isn't...
So...that means not in the U.P.?
I have never had a wort chiller, so I always struggle with getting it cooled fast enough. That's when I started brewing only in winter and using mother nature as my wort chiller.

I know it's fun to bash HL and they have made it easy but, overall, I think they have treated me fairly well. I'm not going to suggest it was speedy, but it was well done.
I'm waiting on replacement batteries, but so are many of us and the batteries I received are working just fine. There was...
I'm still not sold on the FW6. I find myself reaching for every prior version I own, even after kicking up the temps.
I just shopped Delta3D recently and didn't notice something for the FW4. Now I'm going to have to go look. I'm assuming it will work for the FW3 as well?
You have lips of asbestos, my friend. I find that even the HPE can get too hot for my lips. Either it's because I never smoked or I'm just a total puss...
Interesting looking glass!
I hadn't given it much thought but suspect this is true. My material is relatively fluffy and I have never tamped it down at all; drop it in and seal it up without any pressure on the material. Bingo.
I find this interesting. Even at 3.5 on the latest color Ti, I have yet to see green anywhere (but our ultimate conclusions are the same).
It produces the most consistent, cocoa/chocolate brown ABV of anything else I own. 5-6 10 second draws at 3.5 (shutting off between draws and drawing for a...
Totally agree. I bought some caps and a 2x2 sleeve. It was a nightmare getting the batteries out. Finally, @Ratchett suggested I use a hair dryer on the last two to get the rubber softened. It took a while but it worked. Now that they're out, I'm sticking with the caps.
