Probably just a shorter female/female glass oven to reduce the distance between the heater and the herb. Ddave was a proselytizer and seller of them, but you can buy that part from Ali/DHgate/Amazon pretty easily, and the XQ2 comes with a bowl that is more similar to it based on user feedback.
Silver Haze from Commcan in a Dyna tip married to the Vgoodiez matrix recycler via Wand. A year or two old now, but with a Boveda pack, it has held up remarkably.
Loaded up some terpy Sour Tsunami in the Dynawarden half bowl setup-- while by volume it's a (relative) microdose, the effect has real legs. Not a strain to game with, I was reminded!
What I've done is put the standard basket screen packed with herb directly on the heater core, under the F/F adapter (stock, DDave, Ebay, whatever you may have) and gotten good results that way. The issue with the XQ2/Extreme has always been that the heat source is too far away from the herb...
I also like the Sneaky Pete half bowl converter for added thermal mass and one hit extract consistency. Plus, let's me tamp a little more densely without knocking the screen out of the half bowl position.
Been using a TI Dynavap tip with a low temp cap and a TI half bowl converter with the wand, run through a nice short churchwarden pipe that makes for great filtering and clouds. Running it all so low temp I can nurse a .05g load for quite a bit and enjoy the flavor.
My current setup is a very short 18mm F/F adapter, straight (not right angle) whip adapter to about as short a whip as possible, connected to my Orb V2 (wet or dry). Heatsoak at 430F without herb for 10 or 15 minutes, drop the material in, turn on the fan on medium and I can pull absolute...
I had a similar concern about the thermal capacity it would be able to act on, but it has warmed both scientific water pieces with a fair chunk of water, and also a few chunkier ceramic mugs with a rim on the bottom (e.g. an air gap that I would expect to decrease effectiveness) pretty amply, to...
