I finally got around to testing out my Nomad. I was on a job search and was scared of a potential drug test (why do these even exist in legal states?) so I just now got to testing it and oh boy is it my new favorite right off the bat.
Firstly, the thing is more beautiful in person; pictures do...
The short of it is that from the beginning I knew I wanted a mystical forest-y type look. Dan had made a vape called the Okin and one particular one that he made really caught my eye (see below).
I asked Dan if it would be possible to use some of that same bamboo for the stem, but he said it...
Hey guys, haven't checked in in a while. Figured I would drop by and give some updates/eye-candy about my Nomad in progress:
Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy :)
Interesting stuff! This new design definitely feels more like the early Nomad concepts and gives me much more of a futuristic Star Wars type of vibe as opposed to the more J.R.R. Tolkien-feeling Nomad 1 imo. I imagine the lack of sleeve and all the changes will mean this will be easier to...
The spring-loaded pin idea is definitely interesting, although TC is personally not a big deal for me.
@Dan Morrison Any chance you've thought more about heater modules btw? The low and high heat modules sound great, just interested in seeing if there's any interesting or niche ideas you've...
Loving all of the batch 3 Nomad's!!
And welp since we're also posting "naked" Nomad's, I figured I might as well post my naked and dismembered(?) Nomad. It's not as far along as others but I think she's a beaut nonetheless.
The wait for the batch 3 Nomad's has definitely felt like it has gone by quicker than it has; definitely in part due to the bi-monthly updates that Dan emails out. Seeing his overall process is both extremely interesting and artistic. The update this week with the raw pigments for the...
I appreciate the kind words :) and yes it's currently just a mockup, but I'm in the current batch so I should be getting mine in the coming months.
Dan is very easy to work with, so I'm sure you'll end up with your dream Nomad! The design of mine came out better than I could have ever imagined...
Welcome!
The second sleeve was an extra $100. It's a bit steep but I thought it was well worth it for what I consider to be a bit of an art piece.
As for the custom collar, me and Dan essentially threw ideas back and forth until we settled on that collar specifically. I knew from the beginning...
I was honestly skeptical about the signature thing but I've gotta say that's gotta be one of the only sleeves where the signatures not only look good on it, but almost make it look better.
