The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie (Pre Release Prototype) Comparisons

Coming from a Dani Fusion 2.0 and a couple Dynavaps, both Tempest and Anvil have caught my attention for a while. With the Anvil, is it bearable without a water piece? I can use a bong abt 50% of the time. How much extra maintenance is needed to keep balls clean in either Tempest or Anvil? In...

Thanks everyone. Wesley said his site will be back up shortly, and with some new products. I will order the screens and see what's new. If there's a tip with easier airflow adjustment and a fixed bowl size somewhere in the middle, I'd probably be a buyer. Also, I assume that little corkscrew...

Do we know if 2.0 screens are the same specifications as for any other devices? I want to order some, but the Wesley site has been hanging up before I can enter my payment info.

Thanks. I also find that if I let it cool a minute or two with a magnet, reload, and reheat, the results are inconsistent. It's either not enough heating or too much heating when it clicks for the 2nd bowl. As for airflow, even with tip removed, I can't see much difference when I turn it to...

My new cap doesn't always click after a couple of weeks. Also, it is strangely doing a 2nd click a few minutes later, like a Dynavap cool down click. I did manage to open the airflow a bit, by trial and error. Without a click, it combusted yesterday am. Sadly, I'm using the Dyna M+ with a small...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Do you find the Tempest hits a little more than the typical electrics and Dynavaps? I don't need a desktop or science project home-only ball vape. Thanks, trying to keep from smoking, and have failed a few times lately. For me, Dani Fusion 2.0 was a miss. Wesley did good, replaced my cap (og...

You coukd get a single flame kitchen torch that can stand on its own, and has a safety lock to prevent accidental usage. I have 10 thumbs, but this type of torch doesn't worry me. Also, a leather piece to handle a hot cap helps on any butane portable.

Using a single flame kitchen torch. Yes, Dani Fusion 2.0 here.

I'm finding on the half-bowl setting (I assume it arrived this way because of the gap below the screen), that it's like 2 rips and done. Also, it isn't that consistent, especially when reheating a warm cap. It can be a bit light on the first heat, then right below the line by the 3rd heat. In...

My replacement cap arrived yesterday, and this one does indeed click. I assume it's 1 light click only, on the heat-up? I thought the AVB was a little light, so I went about 3-4 seconds post-click next time. The reclaim was a little darker, but the vape was much harsher. I was coughing like a...

Thanks-- I will update. But I also gotta be realistic after a couple of weeks. Do I also pick up an older model tip/cap, and if so, which one? Stunner, and forget about a click.....or a previous Dani are the possibilities I'm aware of.

As I await a cap (that clicks) for my Dani Fusion 2.0 with stainless steel stem (no carb holes), what other tip/cap options, either Dani or other, will fit? Other than that I want to avoid glass, I'm open to suggestions. I can live with either clicking or non, as long as there's reasonable...

I've been awaiting a cap that actually clicks for mine. That, and some of the issues you mentioned, in general. I may have to ignore my VAS one more time, and order a Tempest in March. Limitations and all, the Dynavap is a "finished product." I think that justifies its price and popularity...

Do you still need a screen at the full setting? Or can/should I pull mine out with a dental pick?

As I await a replacement cap, I'm using my 2.0 by guestimating the heating time, then adding more if needed. With a kitchen torch single flame, it's 25 seconds with a low flame. Quicker with a stronger or more direct heating. A couple of observations and questions: - the 2.0 feels quite...
