Sadly my dabbing days are over due to health reasons and I've been slowly selling off my collection over the last few months. I've finally decided to part ways with my favorite custom set. This was done by @whitneyharmonglass_ and each piece is uniquely carved, fumed, and sandblasted. I asked...
Haha thanks :spliff: I found the tray first and when I stumbled across X-Calibur's elegant dabbers for a more civilized age, I just couldn't pass it up. Fat Yoda followed shortly thereafter.
As a side note, I did try a katana dabber from another crafter on IG and, while it looked...
Hmm, so pretty close to the last iteration that was shown off. I feel like an inlaid bamboo sleeve around the base, or maybe some etching would help break up the monolithic titanium feeling more.
I don't know, I still like the concept but it's just not aesthetically appealing to me.
Thanks so much for the info! Could you explain a bit how the tip is heated (type of element, how it transfers heat to the tip, whether it's isolated from the airpath, etc)? I haven't seen one in person and it's a little difficult to glean from the pics I've seen. Thanks again.
Selling this James Lang piece that I just picked up a week or so ago. It's in like new condition, only used a few times. Only reason I'm selling is because I've got my sights on a custom piece for Black Friday.
It sits about 4.5" tall, with 3" base so it's nice and sturdy. Has a faceted opal...
For what it's worth, round bottom quartz inserts do exist now. But I personally didn't enjoy the experience, probably because I've also settled into my own snobbish ways. :spliff:
I haven't used a rounded banger with an enail... I just assumed the heat transfer wouldn't be efficient. It was fine for cold starts with a torch, but the oil did have the tendency to climb the walls more. But all that said, I don't consider myself well-versed with a torch so take that with a...
When working with hash, the amount of pressure I apply doesn't even register on the gauge until about the last 10-20 seconds of the press (and then I max out at ~500 psi). I allow the plates to barely make contact with the bag in the beginning and let it come to temp without additional pressure...
I'm glad you started this thread, I considered making one myself! There's not a lot of info out there about it, but the few reviews I've seen are generally positive.
My biggest question is what the airpath consists of. I can't seem to find any info about it...
