Hmm, so pretty close to the last iteration that was shown off. I feel like an inlaid bamboo sleeve around the base, or maybe some etching would help break up the monolithic titanium feeling more. I don't know, I still like the concept but it's just not aesthetically appealing to me.

Thanks so much for the info! Could you explain a bit how the tip is heated (type of element, how it transfers heat to the tip, whether it's isolated from the airpath, etc)? I haven't seen one in person and it's a little difficult to glean from the pics I've seen. Thanks again.

When working with hash, the amount of pressure I apply doesn't even register on the gauge until about the last 10-20 seconds of the press (and then I max out at ~500 psi). I allow the plates to barely make contact with the bag in the beginning and let it come to temp without additional pressure...
